In this assignment you will be tasked to look at the future of apparel technology and forecast future international policies. Please read the white paper attached to this assignment titled “Smart Fabics” by Atos.

Atos is a French company that supports the digital transformation of its clients across various business sectors: Defense, Health, Manufacturing, Media, Public sector, Retail,Telecommunications and Transportation.

Write a 500 (minimum) essay or a 10 minute recorded presentation (video or audio) that illustrates your analysis on the above subject matter.

Items to consider (not mandatory, food for thought)

Are Smart Fabrics digital technology or textiles? Why would it be hard to categorize?

Can Smart Fabrics compromise domestic technology industries?

Can Smart Fabrics compromise other technologies? National security?

Make a table comparing MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray on the basis of the following:
What it is useful for
What it is not useful for
Potential risks
3 diseases it is useful in diagnosing
Relative cost (you do not need actual numbers, but an awareness of the cost)
You will be graded on completeness of your answers. Please make sure to cite/reference the source(s) of your information and use APA.

Genus Elephas, studied by Georges Cuvier:

1-Include a section that introduces the scientist and why you selected them for this project. Bonus points for a scientists that represents an otherwise underrepresented group of people (in other-words, not an old, white male, ahem Darwin).

2-Describes the Genus that your genius studies. Consider addressing the following:
How to differentiate these organisms from other organisms
More specifically, what are some key identifying features
What morphological characteristics are shared among species in this genus
How do they reproduce? Move?
The Domain, Kingdom, and Phyla they belong in.
Who are they most closely related to?

3-How diverse is this genus? (i.e. approximately how many species in this genus)

4-What kind of human and ecological impacts do members of this genus have?

5-What types of methods or techniques are used to study members of this genus?

6-Describe any current research that is being conducted on/with members of this genus.
Some examples of noteworthy species in this genus
What you find most interesting about this genus of organisms.

7-What is the current status of members of this genus (you can choose to focus on a species here). Are populations increasing? Decreasing? Are any species in this genus on the Endangered Species List? If populations are declining, what is the primary cause?

In addition to addressing the above points, you will also need to include at least 1 journal article that reports research on this genus, or includes this genus in some type of experiment (it is okay to focus on a particular species within this genus). (See the separate handout for tips on finding journal articles). Provide a brief summary of this journal article, with an emphasis on what it has revealed about your genus of interest. (i.e. what do we now know about your genus, that we might not have known before this journal article?).

In a 3-4 page paper, describe an instance of Groupthink that occurred at your workplace (or an example from another organization or group) and then answer the following questions:

1. What were the circumstances of the Groupthink and how did it unfold? Who was involved? Be sure to explain your role, if any.

2. Which of Janis’ symptoms of Groupthink do you think were present? Explain. (See Week 5: Lecture – What Explains Diffusion of Responsibility.)
**I attached this document in the additional materials upload in a Word Document.

3. What were the ramifications of the Groupthink in this situation?

4. What actions might have been taken to prevent Groupthink from occurring, and how might that alternative outcome have looked?

In about 12-15 pages address the following prompt:

For this final assignment I want you to build on Module 3s Summative Assessment tracing Nasir Naz Khans journey through the policing stage of the American Criminal Justice System (Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8).

Continue tracing Nazs journey by including our readings on Courtroom Actors, Court Process & Corrections. Again, remember that not all the issues with in these readings are touched upon in these episodes, but many are.

Your overall goal is craft a complete essay that links course material to Naz’s situations that are observed over the course of this miniseries. This is not simply writing a synopsis of the episodes. I am leaving the direction and examples used in this final essay up to the student. Make sure that you are able to clearly connect the course material to the examples that are being used. You may want to watch the episodes more than once so as to not miss anything and are able to articulate how these concepts are being played out in the episodes.

Papers must be in 12pt. Times New Roman font, double spaced, and have 1 inch margins.

Discussion 2: Power, Privilege, and Classism
Power, privilege, and classism are interconnected. The more privilege you enjoy, the more power you have to access opportunities that build wealth. The more wealth you can amass, the higher your social standing. It is important to note that having wealth is not an indictment. However, the privileges that have often led to inequalities in wealth distribution are real. As a social worker, you may find yourself working with clients who do not enjoy the privileges you knowingly or unknowingly enjoy. The more you understand your own relationship to power, privilege, and class, the better you will understand your clients’ realities. For this Discussion, review how classism is represented in the Hernandez family.

By Day 5
Post

An explanation of how classism is demonstrated in the Hernandez video.
Identify specific barriers to social services that the Hernandez family experiences because of their class status (e.g., working poor).
Explain how the intersection of class (e.g., working poor), ethnicity (e.g., Hispanic), and migration history (e.g., move from Puerto Rico to mainland) may further impact the Hernandezs experience.
Identity 2-3 strengths in the Hernandez family.
Provide recommendations for how social workers might address issues of classism present in the Hernandez case.
Explain how recommendations would address class issues

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) has tasked you to provide recommendations on the technologies within your environment that should be outsourced. You recommended the two technologies below:

Full support of all network devices including switches, firewalls, and routers
An accounting application with several third-party plugins
The COO gave you the green light to continue your research and has asked for additional information to support a final decision. As you formulate your response to the COO, think beyond just networking and consider how your specialization interacts with other functions and the overall business purpose:

What role should virtualization, software-defined networking (SDN), and automation play in your recommendation?
What is the relationship between core and edge systems?
What other factors would influence your recommendation?
How would your decision be different if you are overseeing a team of four technicians versus a larger team of fourteen?
Your response should be no more than two well-written paragraphs. Ensure you provide citations in either IEEE or APA 7th Edition style for any external sources.

How can a company ensure its continued growth? In 1960 Marketing Myopia answered that question in a new and challenging way by urging organizations to define their industries broadly to take advantage of growth opportunities. The other two articles address the millennials and senior citizens and what to expect from them.  Based on these three readings, Module 1 Discussion questions are:

1) How do you feel businesses are changing to cater to the millennials and senior citizens and ensuring that they come back?

2) What obstacles would the hospitality and travel industry have to overcome to attract these groups and how could they manage to do so?

Look for someone who can write a essay similar two the two attached below. Ive gotten very sick and dont have time to work on it.

Week 7 Reflection Paper
Marketplace Simulation

This writing assignment asks you to reflect on the Marketplace Business Game Simulation. Address the prompt with a one-page letter to the Board of Directors. Use the elements of writing advantage and business communications and critical thinking skills as learned in this course.

Consider the following as components of your document:
1.  Evaluate your companys overall simulation performance
A brief review of the financial and strategic performance of your company during the time you ran the company (in its first year and a half in existence).
2.  Report on strategy
What was your companys competitive strategy in marketing, manufacturing, and selling microcomputers, and how has that strategy evolved over the first year and a half you have managed the company?
3.  Evaluate the current marketplace and future competitiveness
What companies do you consider to be your strongest/closest competitors as of the last two-quarters of the simulation? What actions would you take to out-compete these close rivals in the next two years (assuming the simulation continues for several more years). What are the lessons learned about crafting a winning strategy and about what the managers of a company should or should not do for a company to be financially and competitively successful in a head-to-head battle against shrewdly-managed rival companies?
