After viewing the video on Dr. Esselstyn findings on Heart disease; what are some of the studies he has used for his research?  What can we do to help ourselves against heart disease?  What other studies have proven him correct?  Etc.  Last slide: How has this video impacted you and what assertions can we make? The essay should have five paragraphs: an introduction, a body made up of three paragraphs, and a conclusion.

The introduction should contain the thesis and your three-part argument that supports the thesis. Think of the argument as the way you are going to prove the thesis.

The body should elaborate on the three points of the argument. This is where your analysis of the thesis takes place. Each paragraph will cover one point.

The conclusion restates the thesis and argument. Do not introduce new ideas at this point. All analysis and argument should be confined to the body. Do not use the phrase “in conclusion” in the conclusion.

To a large extent, factors such as where we live, the state of our environment, genetics, our income and education level, and our relationships with friends and family all have considerable impacts on health, whereas the more commonly considered factors such as access and use of healthcare services often have less of an impact (World Health Organization, 2015).

Reflect on the statement above both from individual and public health views. Do you agree? Why or why not? Considering the history, philosophy and values in public health, how does this influence your approach to improving health of the population? Building on the learning resources and your own research, what recommendations would you have for improving equality and equity in healthcare?
