Purpose: To provide the opportunity for students to compare and contrast the roles, scope of practice and perspectives of nurse practitioners and physicians and suggest a policy intervention

Instructions: Students are to include the following in their discussion:

Discuss the specialty adult geriatrics. Define the roles you will be addressing: physician and nurse practitioner.
Who regulates the scope of practice for the physician and the NP.
What is the scope of practice including the level of autonomy for the MD and the NP?
What are the barriers to practice? Identify implications from Consensus Document and in light of the Doctoral of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

Use as many connections to your own personal life as you can in relation to the story.

You are a regulatory associate at a private firm asked to assess the regulatory issues associated with a clients proposed vaccine and diagnostic kit against Lyme disease.

You will need to draft a 2-3 page written memo expanding upon the scientific and historical background of the vaccine and any regulatory issues you anticipate for the development of a vaccine and a diagnostic. English III Research Project

Topic: Students will choose a novel, short story, play, narrative poem, or collection of poetry by an American author to read and research.  This selection process will be determined by campus instructors.  An in depth analysis of the work will be required.  Students will be required to write on the following topics as directed by their instructors.

(Choose 2 of the following)

Choose a specific character and give an in depth analysis of that characters actions, description, mentality, and fate.

Connect the character/theme to at least two symbols or other literary devices in the work, and create a critical analysis of how these are used in the work.

Connect to a theme from the work and use examples from the text to create a critical thematic analysis.

Connect a theme from the work and analyze how it relates to a real world example.

Sources for entire project (minimum of 4) must include the following:

      Two literary criticisms from acceptable sources or databases.

      The work to be researched.

      At least one article from the internet or book about the author/work/historical background.

Working annotated bibliographies for the paper must be kept at all times (1 for each source, but not for the main work), and must be completed at the end of the project. Wikipedia or other general internet encyclopedias will not be considered valid sources.

All of these sources must be cited. Personal interviews are not accepted as sources. Any deviations from this requirement will be handled on an individual basis.  Papers must be in MLA format.

There are two parts to your initial post. In part one, you will be talking about what you normally do to make choices about food and nutrition. In part 2, you will be talking about what you may or may not change about making food and nutritional choices. You will also describe your thoughts about what problems you believe exist in the food/nutrition industry and why.
Part 1
    Pick a meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
    Describe what you ate
    Talk about why you ate what you did — what factors influenced your eating choices?
    Do any current nutritional fads, promotions, or diet claims influence your choice of foods? If yes, talk more about these sources of influence. If no, talk about what does influence your nutritional/food choices.
