For this case analysis, please select an aviation mishap (from the past 24 months) that has been attributed to human factors. Use the SHEL model with a consideration of physiology to analyze the mishap.

Your analysis should include the following sections:

Summary of the case
Problem Statement What is the problem?
Significance of the Problem Why this is a problem?
Alternative Actions (2) How could it have been avoided?
Recommendation
Guidelines

Read/view all module objectives and materials.
Research the given case topic and analyze using scholarly resources.
Write your analysis: target 2 pages in length, double spaced. Make sure to include a reference page (Reference and title page do not count towards the length).
Include APA citations and references (with the references listed on a separate last page).
Include information obtained from primary or secondary sources beyond those listed in the module

Central Topic: Diversity & Equality
An annotation should include a concise prcis of the book, but not a point-by-point plot summary. Plot summary is ultimately dull stuff. Just give a few sentences for an overview of the book. What larger-view context is important about the book? After you give an overview of the book, choose one or two specific details to make your point. Thatll help the reader to see and understand both the book and your points. Finish up with a so what about the book. Why is it important? Why should someone read it? Bring your sense of voice to the annotation; bring your sense of analysis and judgment to the annotation as well.

Following your annotations, write a critical commentary about the collection of four books that youve chosen. (This is why its important that theyre on the same topic, in the same genre, or share some category commonality.)  Choose a central topic for analysis that allows you to provide a close reading (of the verbal and/or visual text) of the four books. How is meaning made in these books, and what do they present to children? Its crucial to stay away from plot summary here and to focus on argument. You should present a clear thesis, and develop it with further supportive arguments as well as specific evidence from the books. Your primary objective should be supporting your argument with a close reading of texts. That doesnt mean just supplying quotes or specific details from illustrations; it means you should be examining the implications and nuances of those details and evidence as you build your argument.
aim for a 4 page critical discussion/commentary on the books
it is essential to closely define your thesis, to narrow your focus to very specific scenes, and to provide a close reading, including the use of quotations or specific examples from illustrations to support your argument

1. Reference to the provided resource in support of the argument.
2. Reference to the class content in support of the argument.
3. Reference to at least one other peer-reviewed article outside the textbook or the provided resource,
where indicated (please remember to cite the sources and show the full references at the end of the
report).
4. Students own critical thoughts about the question.
5. Student answered all questions satisfactorily.

Question 1:
Download UNDP Human Development Data for Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore. Replicate the calculation of these countries HDIs for the most recent year (2018).
Provide a one-paragraph interpretation of the calculated HDI and its components, in the context of each country (minimal research required).

Here are the steps to follow:

Go to: http://hdr.undp.org/en/data#.
1) Select each of the three dimensions of HDI: Health, Education, and Income. 2) Select the appropriate indicator (e.g. life expectancy).
3) Download data and open in Excel.
4) Calculate the appropriate indexes.
5) Put them together to calculate the HDI.

Question 2:
Afghanistan and Pakistan share a long border and history.

1) Download World Bank data ( https://data.worldbank.org ) on the population by age and sex for the two countries and build the two countries population pyramids for the most recent year (2019). What are the similarities and differences in age distribution between the two countries? Do some research to provide an explanation.

2) Download the annual estimates of the population totals from 1960 to present. Use a graph to compare the trends for the two countries. Can you use data on the population components (births, deaths, and migration) to explain these trends? (Hint: migration variables include international migrant stock and totals, as well as net migration).

Question 3:
Based on chapter 2 of the Malixi textbook, describe the economic development patterns of Japan since the 1950s. Provide some explanations of these patterns. Please remember to relate these explanations to the models of economic development we reviewed in class (Arthur Lewis, Harrod-Domar, Solow, and others). Length: not more than 2 pages.

Our decision in this case is to keep both the gift industry and the appeal industry. But we will mainly focus on the gift industry.
