The module readings explored barriers to cross-cultural communication and the importance of respecting and accepting cultural differences in working with individuals and communities in health services delivery.

For this assignment, consider the following case and how you would react to actions/events taking place in another culture. In April 2019, Megan Specia reported in the New York Times about changes that have taken place in Brunei. These changes include the plans to enforce Islamic law on the LGBT community with the likelihood of stoning to death and amputation if found guilty. Read the article entitled Facing Uproar, Brunei Says Stoning Law Is Meant to Educate and Nurture. In a 3- to 5-page paper, address the following:

Discuss the feelings this article evoked in you. This should be in the first person.
Discuss the external forces that impact the evolution of this culture, including factors beyond the information presented in the article. You will need to do some research for this.
Discuss the impact that barriers to communication had on your reaction including:
Ethnocentricity
Stereotyping
Ethnic Glossing
Discuss how this information can assist you as a health practitioner. Again, this should be in the first person.
Note: In your write-up, use section headings for each question and subheadings for each of the sub-categories.

– obtain an evidence-based practice article that is no older than five years.
– answer the following questions:
    1) what is the PICO questions?
    2) what level of evidence?
    3) what is the sample size? Why does sample size matter?
    4) brief summary of article (outcome)
    5) was the study statistically significant?
    6) would you support this article to be implemented in your unit?

Prompt: Respond to areas of connection between the unit and team members’ proposed revisions to arrive at an agreed-upon list of changes and rationale.

Please respond to all 3 students.

BTW, the unit was Do You Speak American? For Educators. Curriculum. High School. Guides | PBS. (2005). PBS. http://www.pbs.org/speak/education/curriculum/high/guides/#use.

You completed the last order and put grade 3-12 in the paper. This unit focused on high school so not sure why grade 3-12 was put there. Everyone else put high school students. Regardless, please focus on high school students as that is the agreed upon group. And please respond to these 3 students with the above prompt.

Using the subject you used for Essay 3, identify a specific problem regarding that subject and propose a solution to it (if you would like to write about a different subject, please check in with me first). For this assignment, the question is not whether ADHD exists; its how we can solve a particular problem with respect to ADHD.  It is not a question of whether or not student-athletes should be paid; but how they may be paid.  It is not a question of whether or not the justice system should be reformed; but how it may be reformed.

My topic is RELIGION.

Essay topic: Reflecting on the concepts in the course, select and research one (1) of the company situations listed below and discuss the legal and ethical issues surrounding it. At least one citation for each company is provided to get you started and you may use this citation as one of your sources. It is expected you will use the course required readings plus your own independent research in support of this paper.

Your essay should include the following, organized in your paper using APA headings with logical and smooth transitions.

1) A well-formulated introduction that

identifies the company,
states the company’s ethical dilemma presented in the facts, and
states a thesis statement for the paper that provides the reader a well-conceived approach or practical perspective on the problem presented by the company’s situation. This will demonstrate more than one academic topic is covered.
2) Discuss how the philosophy of economist Milton Friedman’s shareholder or free market ethics may have influenced the leadership of the company; include the concept of corporate social responsibility.

3) Identify and define another ethical framework that the company leadership could have utilized in this situation and explain how this ethical framework would have led to a different result. Explain specifically how the company effectively would have employed this framework.

4) Identify and apply three general legal topics that are discussed in the required readings this term. Do NOT use ethics or the company’s main legal issue. These are to be additional legal issues. For example if you chose Ford, that is a consumer and product liability problem so additional legal topics cannot be consumer and product liability topics or the ethical issues you are addressing. There are many other possibilities — employment, contract, bankruptcy, criminal law, fIP, etc. Fully define the principles you select and analyze their application to your chosen company’s business, issues and circumstances. Include in-text citations to the course materials, as failing to cite your sources will result loss of credit. NOTE: The required readings are listed in the Lessons section for each week under “Required Readings” plus any other sources that may have been assigned during the course.

In addition to the above, study the Rubric for this Assignment. The Rubric is attached to these Assignment instructions, a template for an APA paper, and APA guidelines.
