You will read and watch the weeks Learning Materials, and then watch Triple Divide [REDACTED] (Joshua Pribanic, 2017). Youll then write a 250-400 word response in which you consider whether you find the documentary persuasive and why, including any examples of how the documentary appeals to emotional reactions and/or logical conclusions. Try to use some of the terms in the documentary terms glossary, as well as the Wikipedia page resource. There is no fixed format, but your goal should be to try and identify a few simple (or maybe complex) techniques in action. The simplest question is, how do these images and sounds work to make me feel a certain way?

You will read and watch the weeks Learning Materials, and then watch Cooked (Judith Helfand, 2020).
Write a story that describes a typical day in the life of a an enslaved woman in Jamaica.
USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND BE ORIGINAL!!
Here are some questions to help you think about the things you should cover
What is the time period? When and where in the Caribbean?
What does the person looks like?
How do they dress? What language do they speak?
Where do they live? What does the environment look like? Rural/urban?
Is this person married or with someone? Do they have children?
Do they have an occupation? What skills do they have?
How do they interact with others? Do they have neighbors? Friends?
What do they eat? What do they drink?
You can answer these questions when describing the lived experience of your
historical figure. The more details you use, showing your knowledge of Caribbean
history, the better! You can embellish or make up details of the historical
figures everyday life, but those details must be consistent with how people
lived during that time, and it should be supported by cited works.
You can use internet sources, but make sure they are credible ones. Use a variety of
sources and cite them properly in MLA style. Please use in text citations properly.
Create a written lesson plan for a 1-hour training session. The lesson plan should contain an introduction (5 min.), a body (50 min.), and a conclusion (5 min.) Ensure that your plan addresses the 9 Events of Instruction. For each of the three sections, indicate what you are going to do in the allocated time. For instance, if you are going to link to prior learning in the introduction, say so. If you are going to preview the upcoming topics, say so. For the body, plan 2 learning cycles of 15 minutes apiece, consisting of 5 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of whatever learning application, practice exercises, or group work you wish to use to reinforce the previous learning. Also plan a 20 minute quiz. Compose your lesson plan in an outline format. I need to be able to understand what you are saying you are doing with the students throughout the lesson, but not the actual words you are saying. This is an outline, not a narrative.
How do mind and body interact … defend Descartes’ view on this with a clear thesis in the introduction. Use 3 academic sources that talk about this and also use Descartes’ Meditation on the First Philosophy to quote from him specifically. This part can be done when explaining his general mind/body interaction section.
Write a composition using one of the topics listed below. Your composition needs to be three to five paragraphs long. It must contain an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.
TOPIC: Compare and contrast driving in the winter and driving in the summer.
Research an organization that is currently (or was previously) challenged in training and development and, assuming the role of a consultant, create/develop a strategy to address the challenges. You could, for instance, propose a new evaluation system, develop a revised training and development program, or devise an innovative compensation philosophy and program. The key is to identify an organization that is or has experienced a challenge in one of these three areas and create or rebuild that current program.
The Capstone Project is intended to showcase your knowledge of a specific subject within human resources and then apply that knowledge to address a current and relevant issue. The Project will be an APA-format paper with a minimum of six citations. The project should incorporate the following components within the 8-10 page paper:
Section 1: Executive Summary
This may be the most important section of a paper as it is undoubtedly the one section every executive will read. In the Executive Summary, summarize the problem associated with your study and detail your proposed solution or resolution.
Section 2: Background
Provide a brief background of the organization. Additionally, sketch the broad outline of the problems affecting the organization that necessitated your involvement, including the cultural or managerial challenges that may have led to this issue.
Section 3: Function Overview
Provide a brief overview of the core function you have selected. This section is intended to convey the importance of this function to the organization, and how this well developed and effective core function enhances the organization’s performance. As one example, you could detail the role of performance evaluations in relation to employee performance and the components of an effective performance program.
Section 4: Program Revision
Based on the information presented in Sections 2 and 3, develop a strategy to address the challenges in the organization. This is the section where you showcase your knowledge and understanding of human resource programs, and then apply your knowledge to recreate the program to raise its effectiveness and better address the changing realities of todays marketplace.
Section 5: Implementation
Discuss the implementation strategy related to the specific recommendations. Address any barriers the organization and its employees may deploy to resist this substantive change to their operations. The organizations culture and the ability of management to implement these changes should be addressed as well.
Section 6: Contingency Plan
Propose a contingency plan to consider if your proposed recommendation is unsuccessful. As an example, your contingency plan may involve more draconian strategies, reductions in certain budgets, terminating or hiring employees, etc. Be clear about what where your recommendations may fall short and what the organization should do if that occurs.
Clarity of expression is crucial. Good business papers are carefully written and revised. They use the English language correctly. Do not forget to proofread your paper first. Poor writing may very well lead to questionable credibility. Do n0t let others get the wrong idea about you just because of an error or two. Professionalism, grammar, and spelling are also criteria for grading, including proper APA format for all sources used. Include headings in the work to identify each area discussed.
Background Information:
Companies generally organize themselves into tall (vertical), flat (horizontal), or wide organizational structures. When you picture an organizational chart, the CEO of the tall organization generally leads from the top and leads from a distance. There are typically lots of spaces steps between leaders and employees with a well-defined chain of command. In flat organizations, there are fewer levels of management and employees have more autonomy; the CEO may be more knowledgeable about the daily activities in the organization and are more connected with employees.
On the other hand, wide organizations are generally more loosely coupled. In the loosely coupled organization, like a franchise operation, people work for the same organization but may be disconnected daily. They may come together for training, but generally, there are separate cultures for each of the organizations.
Nursing Turnover:
Nursing turnover is one of the biggest issues impacting profitability and performance in healthcare organizations. Healthcare organizations require a highly trained, fully engaged, and stable workforce. Losing critical employees impacts healthcare in many ways including a) Decreased quality of patient care, b) Loss of patience, c) Increased accident and absenteeism rates, and d) Increase staffing costs.
It could be argued that employees quit managers, not businesses. Depending on the organizational type, it may be easier for some nurses to quit. Here are a few factors that drive turnover in nursing:
Feeling disrespected in the workplace
Poor communication among team members
Lack of trust
Ineffective collaboration with others
Submission Instructions:
Address the following components for the assignment submission:
Considering the additional information related to organizational structure, discuss the organizational structure that best describes the type(s) of organization(s) you work for now or in the past.
Provide an explanation with examples on how the organizational structure aligned with the organizational leadership strategy.
Reflecting on nursing turnover, discuss if your selected organizational structure and leadership style is a good fit to prevent nursing turnover. Provide at least one scholarly source within five (5) years to support your discussion.
Identify and discuss an additional driver (outside of the four described above) from your personal work experience or from the literature.
As a healthcare leader, what recommendations would you make to alleviate or minimize the impact the additional driver you selected?
Provide a brief description of the type of organizational structure you would prefer to work and explain why.
Select a psychoactive drug that is of pharmacological interest to you, but not one you will review as part of your Critical Review or one that was included in your previous Rapid Review.
For this paper, you may choose drugs of abuse; however, the paper must focus on the pharmacology of the drug and not on the social or addictive aspects. If you focus on addiction and social impact, your paper will not receive credit.
In addition to the text, research a minimum of three peer-reviewed articles published within the last five years on your selected drug. Prepare a three-page summary of the drug using the PSY630 Rapid Review Example paper (Links to an external site.) as a guide.
In your Rapid Review, analyze and explain the pharmacological aspects of the drug as they relate to the following: neurotransmitters affected, receptors, route of administration, half-life, doses, side effects, drug interactions, contraindications, and other important facets of the drug. Explain these aspects of the drug in terms of the psychiatric disorders indicated for the drug and the issue(s) associated with that use. If there is no accepted therapeutic use for the drug, evaluate and describe the actions of the drug with regard to the abuse process.
The paper:
Must be three to five double-spaced pages in length, excluding title page and references page, and it must be formatted according to APA style
Must include a title page with the following:
Title of paper
Your name
Course name and number
Your instructors name
Date submitted
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
Must use at least three peer-reviewed sources in addition to the text.
Must document all sources in APA style
Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA style
The Final Integration Project is based on the following scenario: All references will be provided upon assignment of the project.
You are hired at a Catholic healthcare facility which was originally founded by the Felician Sisters. Your workplace is appreciative of your efforts to complete your degree at Felician University. The administration has received word that you have taken a course about the integration of moral and spiritual considerations in healthcare. You have been appointed head of a committee which will write several articles. These articles will be published in a new handbook for the facility.
For the Final Integration Project, you will write an Introduction to the handbook, and one article regarding Catholic-Christian teachings focused on an area of healthcare discussed in our course. These are both about one page each (200-250 words). You will submit ONE document with TWO sections. Label the sections as shown below.
I. Introduction
In your introduction to the handbook, explain how your healthcare institution strives to provide holistic care to everyone it serves. Give an understanding of this care by briefly referencing one or two of the assigned readings from the course. This is NOT a research paper, where you would find and rely on outside material. Find materials from our course to reference, and explain in your own words how and why care at your institution is concerned with the care of the whole person. The introduction will be 200-250 words (no more than 300 words including one or two references).
II. Article regarding the moral considerations of a medical decision
In your article regarding the morality of a medical decision, you will provide a clear and concise guide to help inform patients and/or their families regarding the Catholic-Christian perspective on a healthcare issue (Death with Dignity Act). Choose a morally challenging medical decision discussed in our course. Define the issue, and explain the basics of Catholic-Christian teaching regarding the issue. Again, this is not a research paper. One or two references or citations will be from the coursework. Otherwise, use your own words. This brief topical article will be 200-250 words (no more than 300 words including one or two references).
The Final Integration Project is worth 50 points. The grading rubric will be essentially the same as listed in the syllabus for a Scholarly Writing Assignment, except that for the Final Integration Project, sections I and II are each worth 25 points, for a total of 50 points.
