The following content is

Watch a TED Talk online and write a two (2) page paper about the video.  Define that as you will.  Ultimately, I am most concerned with your considering the material and ideas you are seeing.  Did you agree/disagree?  Did you think the person was taking a skewed viewpoint?  Do you have ideas for how the material could be implemented in the real world?

All I ask is that you keep the thoughts academic in nature, by which I mean that I request that you refrain from trivial points on appearance, speech patterns, or the like.  I want you to think about the material and relay it into your perceptions of the world so please stick to these concepts instead.

Today, you learned that your organization has a significant change initiative planned within the next 6 months. The chief executive officer (CEO) has asked you, the human resources (HR) director, to lead this change initiative. You will need to motivate your supervisors as they work directly with the employees; their role in this change will be critical. For this assignment, you will start by doing some self-analysis to prepare yourself to take on heading up the change initiative.

First, begin your paper by briefly describing the change that will take place at your organization. Then, browse the Internet to find one of the many leadership style quizzes that are available. Take the assessment to learn more about your personal leadership style. Consider a traditional leadership style test such as Whats Your Leadership Style?. An assessment that gives a more nontraditional leadership style assessment is The Leadership Legacy Assessment: Identifying Your Instinctive Leadership Style. However, feel free to find your own. Ensure that the assessment provides enough analysis for you to be able to determine your own style.

Once you have taken a leadership style assessment, you will then write a reflection paper that includes the elements listed below.

Compare and contrast your two top leadership styles. Did your results surprise you? Why, or why not?
Evaluate how your leadership style could impact employee motivation and the change initiative.
Select two supervisors from those portrayed in the unit lesson to join your change initiative team, and explain why you would choose them. What roles are they best suited to play in the change process, and how will you mentor them to utilize their strengths and improve on their weaknesses?
Provide an analysis of the motivational theories that could play a role in successfully leading employees through the change initiative.
Identify areas where you think you can improve on your own leadership skills to ensure this change initiative is a success.
Your reflection paper should be a minimum of three pages in length. Your writing should reflect an in-depth consideration and personalization of the concepts presented in this unit, and your interpretations should be insightful and supported.

Any sources must be properly cited. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.

The employees at your organization have formed a union, and the bargaining process now begins. Write a case study in which you analyze the situation. First, begin with background information about the negotiation, and make certain to address the areas below.

Identify the state where the organization is located. Is the state a right-to-work state? If yes, explain what this means. If no, explain what this means. Why are the employees deciding to unionize? What are the mandatory bargaining subjects? Other than wages and hours, what are five other terms and conditions of employment? What are permissive bargaining subjects that will be negotiated? List at least five.
Second, you need to select members of your bargaining team. You will select four supervisors who were identified in the Unit VI Lesson. Discuss why you selected each supervisor, and compare/contrast their conflict management styles. Each supervisor must have a different conflict style. Explain how each supervisor can contribute to conflict resolution strategies used during negotiation.
Third, explain the two collective bargaining strategies, and identify which one you will recommend your team to use. Explain and support your rationale.
Finally, what will you propose happens if a labor management agreement is not reached by your team and the employee representatives?
Your case study must be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. Your case study should present an insightful and thorough analysis with strong arguments and evidence. You must use three academically reliable sources to support your analysis.

Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, and make certain to include in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

I have attached the assignment information + citation details below. Please use atleast 10 scholarly sources

Here are my main points:
The understanding of leprosy in the middle ages was such that the disease itself would not be separated from the patient. When leprosy is identified, the patient would now be considered a leper, to be cast away from society, whose children would be considered lepers, and their individual peculiarities would often be considered as symptoms of leprosy. This lack of separation between what would eventually be known as a bacterial infection and the individual who has it, would ultimately shape the methods used to treat it.  It is important to note that various medical treatments and approaches would be used depending on the region or country you were in, however, the common point of understanding for medieval and pre modern doctors was that leprosy was hereditary, contagious, and incurable.

Point one: upon being diagnosed with leprosy, one would be cast away from society because leprosy was thought to be contagious.

Point two: leprosy was seen as hereditary

Point three: It would not be until 1873 that mycobacterium leprae would be discovered. Hence, identifying leprosy in the pre modern period would occur not as the result of identifying the presence of Mycobacterium leprae. But as a result of inspecting various identifiable symptoms. These symptoms often resembled a host of other skin infections, or just random peculiarities of people who had leprosy. For example, Faith Wallis recounts Gilbert the Englishmans account of the symptoms of leprosy. Whereby Gilbert states that “Lepers search for sexual pleasure more than usual and more than they should” (Wallis, 341). He also speaks of various other symptoms that were common to other problems such as hair loss and lucidity of the skin. However, he maintained that such symptoms were a result of humoral imbalance causing leprosy (Wallis, 342).

In this assignment, you will demonstrate your ability to use quantitative techniques to solve OSCM problems. You will use linear programming techniques to solve a resource allocation and a transportation problem, and simulation techniques to solve an operations management problem. The linear programming technique was demonstrated in your Unit 9 study; the demonstration is also linked in the Resources for this assignment.

Assignment Directions
To complete this assignment, solve the following three problems from your Operations Management: Processes and Supply Chains text:
Chapter 13, page 536, Question 16. Solve this problem with the simplex method.
Supplement D, page 430, Problems 11 and 12. Solve this problem with the simplex method.
Post your solutions to the problems and discuss how these methods might be helpful to one of the cases (Continental Tire, Clif Bar, or Starwood Hotels) to solve problems they may be facing.
Why do you think they might be helpful?
What problems would they solve?
How might applying this simulation enhance a manager’s judgments or experience?
Write a paragraph on why a manager of your chosen case study would benefit from this course.
