Read James 3:212 and Ephesians 4:29. Then, in your initial post, comment on what can be learned from these passages about communication. How might corrupt communication be identified and combated? Provide at least two specific examples.  How powerful is the tongue? What do the verses in James tell us about the tongues power for good or evil?

Moral Decision Making Paper This paper is one you create from your own life or hypothetically. You are to create three scenarios involving moral decisions that need to be made. Step 1 is to write the scenario.  Step 2 is to list all of the legal, ethical, moral and spiritual issues involved in each scenario. Step three is to state how you would resolve the situation and what criteria you used to make your decision

Many ethicists contend that Jewish philosopher Martin Bubers contrast of Iit relationships and Ithou relationships is particularly relevant to the ecological and economic justice crises as well as the ideal for healthy interpersonal relationships.
After reading this week’s resources on Buber, do you agree or disagree with those assertions?  Why or why not making specific references to this and other material.

Within the organizations culture, there should be sufficient training for lead paid staff to oversee and manage the activities of volunteers.  This training should include duties and responsibilities, liabilities, security issues, information privacy and access, roles, and the how-to interaction in social settings or events to best reflect the organizations mission.

Create a chart of training inventories that volunteer coordinators and managers should consider when overseeing volunteers. Each aspect of the chart must have at least one paragraph explanation.

We have been studying Jesus Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew.  On page 85 of the text, it states, Jesus Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) contains the heart of Jesus ethical message.

Imagine that you were to meet one of your friends from a school that does not study the Sermon.  Somehow, mention of the Sermon comes up in your conversation.  Your friend asks, Whats the big deal about Jesus Sermon on the Mount? What does the Sermon on the Mount have to do with ethics?

Given our discussions in class (refer to slides), reading/listening to the Sermon (pgs 92-98), and the article read, how would you respond? In a Word or Google document, slides, or other approved format compose a response consisting of these 3 topics:
the historical context in which the Sermon was written (exegesis)
what Jesus is teaching, in general (do not just list every passage)
the purpose of the sermon and its ethical implications for followers of Jesus then, and now (hermeneutics)
how is the Sermon an Ethics of the Kingdom of Heaven?
how can we apply the Sermon to our everyday lives?

Please read the reading and summarize it thoroughly and please make sure to convey the main idea discussed.

And there should be a question asked at the end of the reading.

please read and respond to the following article:

Charles Mills, from Black Rights, White Wrongs (see Files)

Chapter 3: Racial Liberalism

Just read the chapter 3 from the reading and summarize the reading properly and please make sure to convey the main idea clearly

2. Graphically illustrate each view somewhere and somehow in your Discussion Board response. [Searching Google “images” might be a good starting point for this.]

3. How are all three different from what you personally believe will occur after death? For example, Mormons have very specific teachings about what happens in the after-life..

In your weekly course journal, you will reflect on prompts and consider what it may look like to reflect a Christian worldview within John. Keep in mind that this is an opportunity to reflect on your growth and understanding and perhaps consider course concepts a bit differently than you have before.

In 2 double-spaced pages, consider Johns Gospel from a biblical perspective. Choose 2 “threads” of integrating a Christian worldview to write about from the list of options below. Clearly identify which 2 threads you have chosen. Be sure to explain what your chosen threads might look like in theory and practice. Try to use all threads by the end of the course.

Biblical Integration “Threads” (choose 2):

God-Worshiping: The Christian worldview understands that worshiping God is about celebrating who God is, what God has done and is doing, and what God has created. Christians see worship as a way of life.
Idolatry-Discerning: The Christian worldview understands that when other “things” are more important to us than our relationship with God, they become idols. Christians are challenged to identify, understand, and discern the idols of our time and to then respond prophetically.
Earth-Keeping: Christians respond to God’s call to be stewards of all of creation.
Beauty-Creating: The Christian worldview celebrates God as the #1 Creator and understands that when we create things we show that we are made in God’s image. We offer praise to God by creating beautiful things. Our creativity makes God smile!
Justice-Seeking: Christians act as agents of change by identifying and responding to injustices.
Creation-Enjoying: The Christian worldview celebrates God’s beautiful creation.
Servant-Working: The Christian worldview works actively to heal brokenness and bring joy.
Community-Building: Christians should be active pursuers and builders of communal shalom.
Image-Reflecting: Christians bear the image of God in their daily lives. All humans are image reflectors.
Order-Discovering: Christians find harmony and order in God’s creation.
