You try to live strictly by the moral rules contained in your religion’s moral code. The two most important rules are “Be merciful” (don’t give people what they deserve) and “Be just” (give people exactly what they deserve). Now suppose a man is arrested for stealing food from your house, and the police leave it up to you whether he should be prosecuted for his crime or set free. Should you be merciful and set him free, or be just and make sure he is appropriately punished? How do you resolve this conflict of rules? Can your moral code resolve it? To what moral principles or theories do you appeal?

The assignment:

1. Read through the material provided under module 1 and any other research you would like to use for this assignment.

QUESTION.

What role does brain development play in personality development?

All submissions must be a minimum of 1 page in length double spaced (meaning you can only write more, not less). Use as many resources as you wish. You do not need to include a bibliography or citations but get your information from reliable sources (google scholar, FIU libraries, lectures). If you want to include one feel free to practice your APA formatting.

I encourage you all to practice your APA formatting, however I will not take points off for formatting errors.
I uploaded some of the information provided in module one if that is of any use.

Then create a timeline of the controversy in your post.
(It may be useful to use the Smart Art function in Microsoft PowerPoint (click on the insert tab, SmartArt, Process, and choose a template that resembles a timeline. After the timeline is complete, click on save as and change the file type to an image format, such as JPEG, and save the slide.)
For some activities in your timeline, you may find it necessary to look online for the year (or decade is fine) when something specific was discovered or something happened.
Include the following in the timeline. Note that listing the decade rather than year is acceptable.
Before it was a controversy, what was the conclusion accepted by scientists? In the timeline just label it as before [year/decade]
When did this become a controversy? In a few words, name why it became a controversy (e.g., scientists completed a new investigation; scientists proposed a new way of looking at the phenomenon).
Include a series of blocks on the timeline for the development of various evidence. Briefly describe the evidence and which side of the controversy it corresponds.
Note that most of these videos primarily describe just one side of the controversy. Do some research to find evidence for the other side.
Cite your sources
When was there consensus among scientists regarding the controversy? Briefly explain the consensus and why scientists came to a consensus.

Last week’s learning resources talked about the relationship between Women’s Studies and Feminism. This week’s learning resources focus on the changes in our society as a result of feminist activism, and how feminism continues to develop.

FIRST, explain in your own words how Women’s Studies and Feminism are related. How do they differ?

THEN, discuss what you believe are the most important achievements of feminism, and which goals you think feminism should focus on today.

**Refer to at least three learning resources assigned for this week in your response and provide specific examples from the reading, the news, or your own life. Some questions may consider:

* How has feminism changed the way we interact with one another?
* How has feminism changed our understanding of gender roles?
* What are the most positive changes to arise from feminist activism in our society?
* How does everyone, not only women, benefit from these achievements?
* Where has feminism fallen short?
* Have all women been able to enjoy the successes of the women’s movement equally?
* bell hooks presents a number of criticisms of mainstream feminism. Her article was written in the mid-90s. Which of her ideas do you agree with? Has the feminist movement addressed any of her concerns?
* Where do you believe the feminist movement should focus next?

Use APA parenthetical citations in your text and include a reference list at the end of your post. When you refer to and/or discuss any resources, you need to include a citation for that source, such as: (Braincraft, 2015).  For more information on APA style, go to: https://sites.umgc.edu/library/libhow/apa_examples.cfm
