You will love your informative speech topic and enjoy your speech if . . .You remember that you are giving an informative speech, not a persuasive speech or demonstration speech.  This means that:

You will be informing your audience about your topic.
You will not be sharing your personal views about the topic.
You will not be asking your audience to change their views.
You will not be showing your audience how to do something. 
You select a topic that:

You are interested in.
You already know something about.
You have always wanted to know something about.
You make sure your topic is research friendly.
You can 3 types of credible, scholarly sources required (website, periodical, book, interview, other)
You can easily divide your research into three main point.

Observe the teacher and try to answer the below questions in the best way you can. These questions are supposed to be based off of student teaching but because of Covid, we are not allowed into the actual schools so there is no way for me to teach a small lesson. Instead, you will observe the videos and base the questions off of the video. For example, the first one would be about your satisfaction of the teachers lesson plan, not yours because you didn’t actually teach. You can add in things like “If I were to teach it, I would do it like this”.., or “If I made this mistake, I would improve it by doing this”…etc.

Your ability to execute the lesson plan.
What was successful?
What improvements could be made?
Whether the lesson plan was assessed effectively.

Then, develop an argumentative essay supported by research that conveys your position. Write an 850-1,100 word essay that presents your claim, taking whatever position you want, and defend it.
