Read the case study below carefully and thoroughly, then complete the assignment that follows.

Jimmy didnt have to study much during high school in order to make good grades. When he started college, he was overwhelmed by the amount of work his instructors were assigning. He knows that he is not doing his best, but he cant motivate himself to excel. He is passing all his classes now, but the weeks ahead are full of tests and projects. Jimmy has started to worry that he may flunk out. He is a first-generation college student, and his parents have sacrificed so much for him to further his education. They were so proud when he started college. He knows they will be devastated if he fails. Jimmy is too embarrassed to even talk about his struggles with his parents or friends. In addition to his academic worries, Jimmy is also concerned about his finances. He had to cut back his work hours in order to attend class. He would like to earn more money so that he can pay for all his expenses so as not to burden his family. What advice would you give Jimmy to help him regain his motivation and finish the semester strong?

Assignment:

Based on your reading and analysis of the case study above, address the following items in a detailed essay response of approximately 600 words. Each number below should be addressed thoughtfully and carefully in its own paragraph (approximately 150 words per paragraph)

Analysis: Analyze the case study and identify the biggest problem or challenge confronting Jimmy. Summarize the problem/challenge and justify why you selected this problem/challenge as the one that Jimmy should address first. (Your response should demonstrate in-depth understanding of the information given in the case study as well as concepts presented in class. Your response should address both the problem and justification.)

Inquiry: Research strategies for addressing the problem or challenge you identified above. Refer to your class textbook, course resources, and credible outside sources. Use in-text citations (MLA or APA format) to cite any sources you use in your essay.

Are there relevant details or other information not provided in the case study that would have helped you better determine your solutions? What assumptions have been made?

Evaluation: Evaluate the ideas that were generated in Step 2. Given the information you do have, discuss the three BEST solutions and justify why these are the three best solutions for Jimmy at this time. Your response should demonstrate in-depth understanding of the information given in the case study as well as concepts presented in class and found in your individual research in Step 2. Your response should address both the problem, the solutions, and the justification.

Synthesis: Discuss the desired outcomes for Jimmy. How will Jimmys situation improve if he follows these suggestions? Communicate a clear and specific plan of action for Jimmy based on all the items discussed above and discuss the potential benefits if Jimmy follows this plan.

Write a 3-page close reading essay base on  Death and the Kings Horseman  Soyinka Death.  You can use  Williams’ article in support of your argument. You are writing about culture and religion. You can start by using a passage [monologue or a few lines of dialogue] from Death and the Kings Horseman in order to interpret a position in the problem surrounding one of your topics. Your evidence for that position will derive from the argument in one of the critical texts, AND your reading of Death and the Kings Horseman as a whole as well – as your more focused close reading of a particular scene, dialogue or act.

Three pages double space times new roman and no outside information. The information I will be giving to you.

Part 2 Univariate descriptive statistics (2-3 pages
The second part of your analysis report will examine your two variables separately so we know what your sample looks like.  This means you will have to present appropriate univariate descriptive statistics.

You must provide at least one measure of central tendency for each variable.  Remember that certain measures of central tendency can only be used for certain types of variables (e.g. you cant take the average of a discrete variable).  Explain how you made your choice for each.  For continuous variables, provide at least one measure of dispersion.  For discrete variables, describe how spread out the data is across the categories.  Are responses spread out pretty evenly across the categories, or grouped almost exclusively in one single category?  What does this tell us about the IQV (closer to 1 or 0?)?

You will also need to present the variables graphically using the appropriate graphing technique (histogram, bar chart, pie chart) which depends on the level of measurement of your variables. Describe what each chart shows.  You might want to use the chart that you generate to help you find a measure of central tendency as well as describe the dispersion for discrete variables.

Students will write a 2,000-word report on the welfare system of a country or territory (other than Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan and Macao) of their choice. The focus should be on one particular sector, policy issue or social scheme. This piece of assessment allows students to show their ability in making creative and independent use of available secondary information to highlight their specialized knowledge in the field. The paper is due in the middle of the semester.

Assume your project has become very successful in the U.S. Describe how your product will put pressure on a culture outside the U.S. (You have to choose a specific country).

My Project: a mobile application that connects young engineers together, they can collaborate together and make engineering projects together. A platform that provided opportunity and experience for college students and young engineers.

Greek expansion overseas was a major development of the Archaic Age. Between 750 and 550 b.c.e., large numbers of Greeks from different city-states left their homeland to settle in distant lands. Poverty and land hunger created by the growing gulf between rich and poor and the development of trade were all factors that led to the establishment of colonies. Some Greek settlements were simply trading posts or centers for the trans-shipment of goods to Greece. Most though, were larger settlements that included agricultural activities and frequent interactions with the native populations in those areas. Illustrate Greek influence on local population with one example of a location around Mediterranean Sea or Black Sea. Essay should be at least 3 paragraphs (7-9 sentences long each). Use both online and print sources for your research. You must cite your sources.

1) What are the basic differences between IRS regulations, revenue rulings, and private letter rulings?

2) How is the Internal Revenue Code organized, and what are some reasons why understanding the organization of the Internal Revenue Code may prove useful?

3) In writing a tax court case brief, what is the FICA model of analysis, and what information should be presented in each of the sections on Facts, Issue, Conclusion, and Analysis (sometimes referred to as Facts, Issue, Holding and Rationale)?

[5 slides maximum and about 1 min per slide]

[Main reading: social media and dismissal]

[Assessment requirement]To make our online discussions student-led, every student will introduce and critically evaluate an article from the presentation readings listed for each week in your Discussion Guide. The presentation should tell other students in your forum what the article argues, what evidence is used to back up the argument, and how it relates to other academic discussion on this topic. Your conclusion can summarise what you think are the key contributions, if any, of the article. The presenter should also ask one leading question in their slides to encourage debate. The final slide should list your references a minimum of 2-3 academic sources from the suggested course material is required. For this presentation, students MUST upload a Powerpoint file with a voice over to their forum and any technical difficulties with the file will be their responsibility.

[Assessment of your class presentation will be based on your]
Quality and appropriateness of literature chosen
Ability to accurately identify and summarise the key argument/s the author/s make
Capacity to apply, relevant knowledge and concepts
Logical structure
Coherence and depth of argument/conclusions/class question
Recognition of relevant ethical, social and cultural implications
Ability to communicate and debate ideas

respond to both of the following questions in short essays of approximately 500 words each. Your responses should draw on the relevant empirical and theoretical literature covered in the course material. (ATTACHED) your answers should rely primarily on the assigned materials.

1. Do any of the traditional paradigms of understanding International Relations (REALISM,
CONSTRUCTIVISM and LIBERAL INTERNATIONALISM) offer advantages to understanding state behavior in cyberspace?  Which, if any, offers the most powerful insights into international relations in cyberspace? Use evidence to support your claims. If you have not taken GOV 625, International Relations Theory, you may find it helpful to review these three brief primers on the major theoretical paradigms of international relations theory.

2.Do the emerging tools of cyberspace (e.g. increasingly sophisticated capabilities to disrupt communication and infrastructure, infiltrate critical information systems, and monitor communications and activities from across the globe) strengthen or weaken states as actors in the international system? Do they level the playing field for smaller states and non-state actors to play a larger role in international politics or do they further strengthen the strongest players in the system?
