“Create a SPES Paragraph (Statement, Proof, Explanation, Summary) in which you argue whether the type of surveillance we experience on a daily basis through our technology devices and applications, qualifies as being “Orwellian.” Be sure to define the word “Orwellian” and to take a position on whether it applies to the massive data collection what we are all subjected to on a daily basis.

Be sure to use some evidence from the text, and at least one outside article”

I need (2) result sections written along with the conclusion (discussion).  The following is what needs to be included in the sections.  Attached is what has been written by myself so far, and the article.

From the Result section of the article: Describe the most important main effect(s) with specific names of the statistical tests conducted, their results in APA format, and verbal interpretation of such tests. If there are interaction(s), you should describe them as well. You need to write statistical results in APA style. Statistical symbols such as F, p, and t need to be in Italic. Degree(s) of freedom needs to be placed in a parenthesis. An example of reporting an F ratio can be: F(1.78, 315) = 101.34, p = .002.

From the Discussion section of the article: Explain whether the results matched the predicted hypotheses. Describe the interpretation given and how the results connect to theory presented in the Introduction or offered only in the Discussion.

Background: Wells Fargo has been in the press a great deal over the past few years for  a variety of unscrupulous business practices and compensation programs that encouraged and rewarded such behavior.  While it is unknown whether the incentive plans were specifically designed to drive such bad behavior, it is clear that controls did not exist to protect against unforeseen consequences or to support ethical leadership that might have curtailed it once it began.  Some have gone so far as to suggest that the culture is/was inherently corrupt and that the incentives were intentionally designed to work within that framework.

Assignment:  You have been hired as an outside Compensation Consultant to provide fresh eyes to Wells Fargo.  Your role is to examine what happened (based on the readings and any other sources you wish to include), consider how such rampant fraud was allowed to occur and to make a recommendation for a new incentive program that will drive ethically responsible customer service.  (Note that, as part of their sanctions announced in February 2018, the Fed has precluded Wells Fargo from getting any bigger than its current $2 trillion in assets until they are satisfied that they have cleaned up their act.)

Assignment Requirements:
1. Page one of this assignment should be a Letter to the Reader as outlined on page 194 of
Sandra Giles article, Reflective Writing and the Revision Process. You may have to tweak
your responses to her questions a bit. For example, when she asks How did you narrow the
assigned topic? you might explain how you chose the particular incident you did if you are
revising the first essay, or why you chose a particular ad or certain approach to that ad if you are
revising your second essay. (attached)
2. Your Letter to the Reader should begin with an MLA heading just like any other paper, but
you do not need a title here. Just give the greeting and go with it. The letter can also be single spaced.
3. After the letter, insert a page break, and on the new page, give another MLA header followed by
your newly revised, polished paper. The essay needs to be double-spaced as usual. The essay can be atopic of your choice.
