Feel free to be technical, go in-depth into very specific details, or tie in special expertise from other industries. Chose ONE topic below to write. DO NOT copy from others.
1. Blockchain means something different to everyone. Write about what blockchain means to YOU as an individual, your passions, career interests, and personal philosophies.
2. Tell us your favorite blockchain use case. Fair warning: weve all seen hundreds of articles about borderless currency, DeFi, supply chain, tokenization of X, etc. These topics are by no means off-limits, but keep in mind that the person assigned to your essay may likely be considered an expert in that use case.
3. Paint a picture of a blockchain-enabled future. We do want to hear the impacts, but mostly how technology is implemented to achieve them. Note that we are not specifying whether blockchain causes positive or negative changes, and feel free to have a mix of both.
4. What is your wishlist for new blockchain innovations, aka what do you think is missing in the space? Are there any blockchain startups that are beginning to work on it – maybe a dream job youd like us to help you grab?

An Executive Summary is ideally a one- or two-page overview of your program, which presents a concise and convincing argument for the success of your program concept.    Select one of the project ideas you submitted and expand on the idea information outlined in the earlier assignment using the attached format to provide an initial executive summary for your program.

At the end of the course, this initial Executive Summary will be re-written and improved after you have written the body of the Business Case.

Scenario: You are a business owner faced with an important decision that could potentially be very lucrative. Keep in mind the Six Steps in Decision Making as you set-up your decision analysis.

1.  What is the problem and objective of this decision?

2.  Identify at least 3 alternatives and 3 states of nature.

3.  Create a decision table in Excel.

4.  Identify the potential payoff/losses for each alternative and state of nature and include in your decision table.

5.  Choose two decision strategies and determine the best alternative: (Clearly state the best alternative for each strategy.)

Optimistic
Pessimistic
Criterion of Realism (Hurwicz)
6.  Why did you choose the two strategies? What are the results of the best alternative? What is your final decision?

After you have contemplated the questions above, draft your reflective essay. Every piece of writing should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. A good way to plan this particular reflective essay is to write an introduction to the essay. Next, write at least three body paragraphs and address each of the points listed above. End your essay with a conclusion paragraph tying all of your ideas together. The essay should be at least five paragraphs in length.

This intro assignment asks you to start the process of thinking about and across the generations.  Read the Nicholas G. Carr article (download the pdf excerpt), “The Shallows:…” and write about what you think about it.  Is this information in the article new to you?  How do you relate to the idea that reading is relatively new, but writing is not?  How do you relate to only certain parts of society being able to write?  Use these two questions to jump-start your ideas on reading and writing and alphabets and early societies.  Take a look at ancientscripts.com and get more insight!  Carr is a leading expert in how writing came about and how reading is changing for all of us…these pages on early writing should be very interesting and eye-opening…

Write at least 500 words (don’t let that number scare you…it’s easy once you start typing…you’ve typed more than that on blogs and emails before…)

Start using references and footnotes also.  If you find some relevant support for your thoughts in the Fiero textbook, then cite (insert it as a reference) it.  If you support yourself with internet site info, list that webpage.  All sources count, except wikipedia.  This is the first exercise in writing concisely and fully…Use Microsoft Word’s reference tab and ‘insert citation’ features.

Early (24-hours or more) get full (extra) points.  Submit it in Microsoft Word.  Email me for any other questions.

Do a rhetoric analysis for the following article and answer these questions.

What is the basic history/background information about the text you chose?
Who is the writer?
Does this person have expertise or credentials that would be appealing for a particular group of people? Remember a writer could be a group of people (e.g. a company, multiple authors).
Does the writer have any ulterior motives/biases that may have influenced the rhetorical design of the text?
Who seems to be the audience for the message?
What argument do you think the text is making? What message is the text trying to communicate?
Do you think the argument is effective in communicating its message to its audience? In general, did the writer succeed or fail in this rhetorical situation? In other words, was this a fitting response? How do you know? What rhetorical components of the text are especially compelling (consider rhetorical appeals, methods of development, etc.)
Provide at least one example of a rhetorical element or appeal that you find interesting. In a few sentences analyze this example by showing how it appeals to the intended audience.

Option #2: Emerging Technologies and Their Uses in Healthcare – Paper

Review the Privacy and Security (Links to an external site.) page on the HealthIT.gov website.

Choose at least four of the reading or video options focused on securing patient information using mobile devices. Then write a paper that meets or exceeds the following requirements:

Read or watch the chosen content.
Evaluate the value of these devices in your healthcare setting.
Analyze how you would protect such technology and the information that it contains, using this weeks reading and your own research.
Evaluate the importance of these products to healthcare delivery and the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes.
Your paper should include the following:

Three to four pages, not including the title and reference pages.
Support your paper with a minimum of three sources in addition to the course text. Remember, you must support your thinking/opinions and prior knowledge with references; all facts must be supported, and in-text citations used throughout the assignment must be included in an APA-formatted reference list. The CSU-Global library is a good place to find these references.
Format your citations and references according to the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA (Links to an external site.).
Review the grading rubric in the Module 5 folder for specific grading criteria and reach out to your instructor if you have questions about the assignment.

The Constitution established our three branches of government. It also distributed certain powers to certain branches, and provided a system of checks and balances to ensure no one branch would become too powerful.  In a 5-paragraph essay explain each branch of government explaining the following:

Discuss the points that the academic article and Colbert were trying to make regarding the social newsgathering concept, while addressing the following questions:
What are the risks of relying too heavily on the public to produce content?
Where do you see this happening in the media, and what is your opinion of it?
    Is social media-produced content reliable?
Is this a positive or negative trend for the media overall?

Note; Well written paper and APA will be expected.
