–    Check out the Korean Film Archive channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/KoreanFilm)
–    View one of the extra films streaming via the course website;
–    Use other streaming services to view a film.

Analyze the film in 750-1000 words, taking a point of view and defending it through analysis of elements of content, style, and/or meaning.  The review should include:

–    Facts (film title, director, year, etc.);
–    Character and plot summary: these are necessary (as Corrigan writes, “a review aims at the broadest possible audiencewith no special knowledge of film” [7]), but in our case should be the shortest portion of the review, giving the reader only what is necessary to understand the subsequent analysis.  Reviews that consist primarily of plot summary will be graded down;
–    Important moment or idea in the film: one way to focus your thinking is to select a key moment, idea, scene, quotation, symbol, etc. from the film and center your analysis on this;
–    Analysis and evaluation: the bulk of the review lies here.  Take a point of view on the film, discuss elements of content and/or form that support your position, and conclude with a critique of the film (whether positive, negative, or ambivalent).  As Corrigan tells us, “[w]hen you write about film, personal opinion and taste will necessarily become part of your argument.”  No reader, however, “will be satisfied with a writer who uses his [or her] personal opinions to avoid or disguise a solid critical position” (13).

Parents have numerous decisions to make when raising a child. As an early childhood educator, you may encounter families who have views that are different from your own. Select a topic of choice for parents and discuss the positives and negatives of that choice.

Suggestions for topics include, but are not limited to:

Employee Rewards and Recognition

As an HR manager in a large healthcare organization, you have developed a new reward and recognition program designed to help increase employee motivation and job satisfaction in a specific hospital department of your choice. You may choose a clinical or nonclinical department.

Based on the course readings and a minimum of four appropriate sources of research, create a  three page executive summary suitable for presentation to senior leadership on employee motivation that includes the following:

    Determine which department is best suited for the reward and recognition program.
    Identify a specific goal the employees must work on to be eligible for recognition or to receive the award.
        Examples include reducing errors, increasing customer/patient satisfaction, or reducing costs.
    Research a specific motivation theory and determine why this method would be the most practical and effective for this program.
        Examples are the expectancy theory, equity theory, goal-setting theory, Management by Objectives (MBO), or the four-prong model of intrinsic motivation.
    Explain why the selected theory would be the most practical and effective for the rewards and recognition program.
    Recommend 23 types of rewards and/or recognition that would the most effective in motivating the employees to achieve the goals.
    Create a communication tool for eligible employees announcing the program, rules, and awards.
        Examples: Email, newsletter, internal Facebook post.

Deliverable 2: Literature Review

This assignment requires the student to identify, retrieve, summarize, and synthesize relevant literature focused on the PICO clinical question/purpose. It is anticipated that the literature review findings will be used by the DNP Project Team to focus the DNP Project. The document should be organized with subheadings and tables that can be used to display and organize findings. There is NO standard approach to organizing a literature review.

There are multiple resources available on reserve in the Green Library focused on writing and preparing literature reviews.
