Assume you have been asked by the chief administrator of your school district to prepare a recommendation to a governing board for an IEP (individualized education plan) policy that involves the school transportation department. In other words, try to convince the board that the school transportation department should be involved in a students IEP process. Your recommendation should be in the form of a memorandum that includes the topics listed below.

-Introductory statement
-Summary of applicable law (with appropriate legal citation)
-Advantages of having the school transportation’s input in IEP determinations
-A proposed procedure in either narrative or flow-chart form.
-A concluding statement.

The proposed solution must be realistic and practical. This is not an APA paper but sources should be listed on resources page . It is a case-study-type memorandum simulation.

In one page, create a concept map in a Word document showing the relationship between money, banking, and the function and role of the Federal Reserve System from the following notes:

Money: – no money? Need to barter. – Double coincidence of wants: the unlikely occurrence that two people each have a good the other wants. – Need time to find a trading partner. – Money makes transactions easier and more convenient.

Banking: – Fractional reserve banking system: keep a fraction of deposits as reserves, use the rest to make loans – Reserve requirement (reserve ratio R): percent of deposits held as reserves. – Reserves: required (RR) – amount hold, excess (ER) – amount available for lending.

Bank run or Bank Panic: – Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC): guarantees deposits. – Bank holiday: in 2007, Northern Rock Bank in U.K. taken over by the British government. – Federal Reserve: Lender of last resort Federal Reserve System: – Central bank: an institution that oversees the banking system and controls the money supply.

Federal Reserve (Fed): The central bank of the US. – Monetary policy: Federal policies to control the money supply.

stakeholder briefing note

Context
A briefing note is a short paper that summarizes the most salient issues into an easy to read document. In real-life policy debates, stakeholders require concise, reliable, and up-to-date information on issues that they are confronting in order to achieve their intended policy goals. Briefing notes are required by managers in order to make informed decisions about developing or unforeseen issues. In the public sector, briefings notes are a key form of communications between departmental/ministerial staff and elected officials.

Instructions
Building on the ideas and research that you completed for the Stakeholder Map, you will draft a three-page briefing note about your chosen topic. Please include your references on a separate page.
Presume that you are a staff person in one of the stakeholder categories below and that you are drafting this briefing note for your direct supervisor who has been invited to speak about your issue live on television.

Stakeholder Categories
A government agency or department
An office of an elected official
A non-governmental organization
A briefing note would commonly include but is not limited to the following sections; Purpose/Issue, Summary/Background, Current Status, Options, Risks, and Recommendations/Conclusions.

Things to consider:
Strive to use plain language, as the briefing note must be easy to read and understand. Assume the reader has lay knowledge about the issue.
Only include the most relevant and critical information.
Carefully consider the options that you select for recommendation.
Diagrams may be used, but are not required.

ContraCOVID

Create a multi-lingual flyer/pamphlet relating to COVID-19 that will assist immigrants who does not have access or unable to access the information related to COVID-19 available.

Contra COVID is offering services to help Latinx and Immigrant families access food, housing, financial, employment and health resources as we emerge from this COVID-19 Pandemic. We are reaching out to offer our services to you/ the population you serve.

About the Organization:

Contra COVID is a national organization which provides culturally sensitive and relevant health and social information to Latinx and immigrant populations in cities across the US. Contra COVID is comprised of volunteer public health professionals from around the country.

About Our Programs:

The Social Service Navigator Program:
Our SSNP provides translator support services to individuals for online resources. Participants are matched with 1:1 navigators that can help navigate virtual resources including, but not limited to: unemployment assistance, housing, WIC, SNAP, and health insurance online applications.

Referral Services:
We can help identify and connect you or your community members to relevant services in your area. We follow through to ensure that people are given the access they need.

Workshops:
We are holding a series of workshops on mental health, insurance and social services (food, housing ect.). Workshops are adaptable to the needs of you or your community.

Focus Groups:
Volunteer to participate in our focus groups and act as a key informant of the struggles of the Latinx population. We use our focus groups to better understand how we can serve you.

This is a difficult time for our families, our friends, our neighborhoods and our communities. As a City, now is the time to come together, and look out for one another. I want to explain what the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic means for you and your family, and how you help stop the spread of the virus in New York. Were urging people to exercise caution and take care of themselves. There are simple things everyone can do that will make a big difference:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Avoid shaking hands.
Cover your coughs and sneezes into your elbow or with a tissue.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Please remember what social distancing involves: avoid crowds of any kind, and keep a distance
of at least 6 feet from other people when youre out.

What I want people to remember is that its not just about keeping yourself healthy. By taking these precautions, youre also helping to keep our entire city healthy. And most importantly, youre helping to keep the most vulnerable people in our community safe: especially the elderly, and people with underlying medical issues.

Sometimes patients require immediate treatment, making it essential that you recognize and distinguish minor asthma symptoms from serious, life-threatening ones.
