In this assignment you have to perform the following:
Research Critique:Unpack into your own words
-The long-term effects of traumatic stressors on children are specially adverse during the early childhood development period.
-However, the book has not evaluated available evidence-based interventions targeting young children with PTSD.
Outside Reading:  Unpack the  words of the reading below into one  sentence or so about the two outside reading below and what you learned from it
-However, a substantial percentage may progress into advanced PTSD thus suffer significant long-term health challenges (Gunaratnam and Alisic, 2017).
-Long term impacts may include emotional and social developmental challenges, psychiatric disorders, academic problems and risk taking behaviors (Gunaratnam and Alisic, 2017).
-Immediately trauma occurs on a childs developmental trajectory, it negatively affects the particular trajectory thereby delaying the developmental stage (Goldbeck and Jensen, 2017).
-Childhood PTSD is associated with greater and lifelong effects compared to adult PTSD(Goldbeck and Jensen, 2017).
-Particularly high-risk children must be identified and the interventions must be targeted (Goldbeck and Jensen, 2017).
Important issue:Unpack the words of the important issue into one sentence or so and wat do we know from it.
-All kids ranging from infants to preschoolers to adolescents are at a high risk of contracting traumatic stressors (Landolt, Cloitre and Schnyder, 2017).
-In case of family violence and sexual abuse, the exposure rates are much higher than for adults.
-Therefore, healthcare practitioners and clinicians must conduct routine checks to assess the psychological effect in order to offer the care required and make appropriate and timely referrals.

Biologic and genetic theories:Unpack the words into one sentence or so and what you learned from it.
-Social support is an essential resource that faces disruption in cases where children experience traumatic stress factors.
-Trauma alterations in information processing proposed by cognitive theories of PTSD have no complete explanation of brain structure and functioning lead to PTSD
Interpersonal/Resources theories:Unpack the words into one sentence or so and what you learned from it.
-Disruption and destruction of resources that families are dependent on results from traumatic stressors.
-Such resources help mitigate various psycho social and physical effects of stressors. -Conservation of resources theory states  recovery from exposure to traumatic adversity needs access to resources (Landolt, Cloitre and Schnyder, 2017).
Developmental trauma theories:Unpack the words into one sentence or so and what you learned from it.
-Intensive exposure to traumatic stressors during early childhood profoundly compromises the development of childrens minds, bodies and relationships (Landolt, Cloitre and Schnyder, 2017).
-Also, prolonged exposure to traumatic events adversely affects key bio-psychosocial domains such as executive functions, emotion regulation, personality formation and relationships (Landolt, Cloitreand Schnyder, 2017).
-Prolonged exposure to traumatic stress disorders leads to severe short term impacts and alters childrens life long course by thwarting the growth and development of foundational capacities like personality formation and emotion regulation.
Intergenerational Transmission Theories:Unpack the words into one sentence or so and what you learned from it.
-Children of parents who have been mistreated during their childhood are at a greater risk of exposure to adverse life events such as violence within their family context (Landolt, Cloitre and Schnyder, 2017).
-Therefore, children of adults who suffered traumatising life events have high chances of suffering traumatic stress events and development of traumatic stress disorders (Landolt, Cloitre and Schnyder, 2017).
-Conversely, parents who are emotionally unstable are unable or unavailable to support their traumatized children (Landolt, Cloitre and Schnyder, 2017).

Lastly, give a brief overview of what was the reading of the topics about so basically unpack it into one sentence or so and what we learned from it.

As early childhood educators, it is our responsibility to assist parents in encouraging the development of literacy in their children. One way to do this is by providing resources to our parents on how they can foster literacy at home (Coats, 2013).

Your presentation must include the following:

Title slide.
Defend the importance of reading to young children (at least one slide).
Describe effective resources for story or music time (at least one slide).
Examine how to decide what types of books are appropriate for young learners (at least one slide).
Include a list of suggested books that will benefit each type of literacy (linguistic, audio, visual, gestural, spatial, and tactile) and an explanation of why these books will benefit each type of literacy (at least one slide).
Describe at least two community resources and/or organizations (local to your area) that you would suggest to parents for accessing literacy materials (at least one slide).
Determine at least six online resources that parents can use to promote their childs literacy development (at least two slides).
Reference slide.
Each slide should be designed to clearly and concisely address the material.
The notes section of the PowerPoint must be utilized to expand on your presented points and include any additional information necessary to explain the students point of view.

College application essay on how cancer affected my big family . I lost two family members over the last 2 years from cancer and it made a lot of things weird and sparked a depression.
Opening line BBBBZZZZZZ I looked down, and then back up at the board. The topic was solar system, however the stars began to feel quite real. The air started to thin, was I really in space ? With my phone clutched in my sweaty hands, I attempted to get up out of the cold metal chair.

Select a current topic that relates to terrorism. The topic could be an issue, event, incident, or policy decision that occurred within the past five years. You will be required to develop a recommended plan of action to mitigate or prevent the threat and develop a plan for post-terrorism recovery

Use this unit to begin preparing for your course project that you will submit in Unit VII. The course project will require the use of three peer-reviewed sources. Make sure you select a topic that allows you to locate the required number of sources and enough information to develop your post-terrorism recovery plan. The Waldorf Online Library is a great resource to use to locate sources.

Include the contents from Week 1: standard, goal, lesson.
Include the contents from Week 2: materials, introduction, lesson procedures, guided practice.
Determine ways you will differentiate for three types of learners.
Explain the independent practice in 5 to 15 steps.
Develop two specific ways you will check for student understanding.
Describe the closing in 5 to 15 steps.

Scenario: The teacher/public health educator has just delivered a brief lecture on the value of asking for help as a function and a sign of mental health.  The educator listed resources, discussed seeking help as a strength rather than a weakness and gave examples of where and how asking for help could be applied.  The class seemed politely bored.

During this and previous modules you have studied methodologies, group dynamics, media usage and lesson processing. This discussion asks how the teacher could have turned this into a more learner-centered (focused on student activities), authentic (applicable to real-life needs) and skills-based lesson.

Reply to one of your classmates post by stating 1 or 2 positive elements of their suggested lesson and 1 recommendation for improvement. If you see no need for improvement, tell her/him why not.
Minimum 2 paragraphs.
Student’s post is attached.
TO ASSIST YOU: See chapters 4 & 7 of text book.

The paper is supposed to be a ‘non-scientific’ paper on sleep, expected to essentially come up with a creative way to discuss an aspect or application of sleep research in an area that is of interest to us. Though they are non-scientific, this means that we are not meant to answer a research question, we are still expected to include sleep science-related information in the essay.

I’ve attached two sample papers given to us as model answers. One is on the sleeping habit of U.S. presidents and the other is on Sleep Paralysis interpretation in different cultures.

Topics we’ve covered in class so far:
-Sleep in Art and Literature
-History of Sleep medicine
-Neurobiology of sleep
-Review of stages of sleep, REM, -Non-REM
-Sleep Research Techniques
-Sleep in animals
-Sleep patterns in humans that don’t have access to electricity
-Effects of sleep deprivation
-Circadian cycles

“Grading of papers is done independently by the instructors and then by consensus based on four factors – originality/ creativity, integration of the sleep science and knowledge, and the quality of the writing/presentation.”
