Research Paper
Writing a research paper is designed to develop your critical thinking and writing skills – two very essential skills for any human services or education professional! To write an effective paper, you must be able to incorporate the ideas of others with your own ideas and analysis. A successful paper is logically organized, fully developed, and free of error.
Your research paper will deal with a particular problem, which deals with diversity issues, encountered in the human services or educational fields of study. You will begin by stating the problem and write about its relevance to the field. A history of the problem may be written, along with possible solutions. The research paper should be 7-10 pages in length, including the bibliography.
Topic Selection
Select a topic that you would like to more fully research or are passionate about. Papers should be argumentative. Carefully study the chapter and summarize it in your own words. Your essays should be clear and concise. If you are unsure how to start writing, you can begin with a brief description of the chapter and explain Rachels answer to this question. The body of your paper should then develop an argument that supports your view.
