Thinking of nursing first as a job of caring and making a difference, as well as the work of giving medications on time, checking an X-ray to see if the doctor needs to be called, or taking an admission at 2:00 a.m. with a smile on our faces, reminds us of the synthesized whole of nursing work.

Write a reflection about this thought. Incorporate elements from this modules objectives, as well as what you have learned in this course about leadership. You may include personal experiences and professional opinions if you wish.

Supportive and Defensive Climates
In this Discussion, you examine supportive and defensive climates and their characteristics. Also consider the context in your Discussion of the interaction (for example, workplace, family, friendship, or romantic relationship). If we compare our communication climate to the weather, we can observe that some places make us feel safe to express ourselves, to grow and flourish like a warm, sunny day, while others make us feel defensive, cautious, and anxious, like a thunderstorm, in which you never really know when or where, lighting will strike. Each type of relationship has its own rules of engagement regarding verbal and nonverbal communication, and here you have an opportunity to highlight those rules, customs, and norms for behavior. Tie in concepts you have learned in previous weeks of the class as you consider interactions in each communication climate.

To prepare for this Discussion:.

Here are the points you should cover:

Describe the chosen business and its main products or servicestell us what you do
Identify the business customers (specifically) and other stakeholders
Provide an analysis of important sustainability issues within that industry
Discuss the characteristics of the business model which will overcome these issues, including:
o    Company structure and operating policies
o    Product characteristics and production processes
o    Supply chain management
o    Communication and management strategies

Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the business model and make predictions about the likelihood of success and define what is considered as success!

Calculation errors involving parenteral medications are more dangerous than other routes of administration.

Find a medication error example where a healthcare professional administered an incorrect dose via parenteral administration. Describe sources of error from the example you found and why there was an increased risk to the patient. Discuss ways that parenteral risks can be avoided and what methods should be approached to ensure that errors do not occur. What would be an appropriate recourse for when an error in dosage occurs? Explain your answers.

For your citation, you might use articles that show examples of calculating different forms of medication. You can also find articles from experts that address best practices for calculating liquids for parenteral administration.
