Reflect on the multiple readings regarding the history of the internet and what you learned from those readings. At a minimum you should address these questions:
Which resource on the history of the internet did you find the most worthwhile (interesting to read/watch, worthwhile from a content perspective, well-written, etc.)?  Include in your comments why you liked that source.
What were three surprising things about the history of the internet that you learned from this module of the course?

Your THESIS should…
– be 1 sentence only,
– directly address the prompt you picked,
– accurately project/describe what will be written about in the two body paragraphs to follow,
– be legible and easy to read because you used correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Each of your TWO BODY PARAGRAPHS should…
– start with a TOPIC SENTENCE that directly supports the thesis and tells the reader what this paragraph will be about,
– include the correct number and type of quotes/summaries/paraphrases and follows up each these with an explanation, in your own words, of what you think the quote/summary/paraphrase means in light of your paragraph’s topic sentence and your essay’s overall thesis,
– is legible and easy to read because you used correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
– only includes information relevant to its topic sentence.

Pick a character (fictional or autobiographical) from two different stories weve read so far this semester and explain how each struggled to exercise their personal freedom through reading, writing, or storytelling. How, through these actions, did each of the two characters fight for freedom (physical, emotional, or both) through reading, writing, or storytelling? In your judgement, which character was more successful than the other and why?  Include two quotes from each of these two authors (or summaries/paraphrases of those quotes, if the quotes are too long to include) to support your discussion.

the two reading that I would like you to use are “Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave” and Sor Juana Ins de la Cruz, Response to the poet.”

Thinking about the U.S. prison system, develop a thesis-driven essay using the structure (criteria-match) of a definition argument. The question your responding to is: How is the U.S prison system defined? Is the U.S. prison system good? Use and cite 2 sources. Essay is to be written in MLA format. Works cited page at the end is required. 2-3 full pages excluding the works cited page.

One of the pieces we looked at this lesson, Richard Serras site specific sculpture  Tilted Arc was a lightning rod for controversy from the moment of its installation.Although some people enjoyed the work, others found it a hideous inconvenience that attracted vagrants and graffiti.
Please read the 2 articles attached as pdfs below that describe the controversy and ensuing efforts to have the work removed. Each article has a slightly different take and I think its a good idea to draw from multiple sources.

After reading both articles write an essay of at least 300 words addressing the following points.

1    What was Richard Serras goal with his sculpture and what is meant by his claim that the work was site specific ?
2    Summarize the main objections to the work and indicate whether you agree with the overwhelmingly negative public reaction?
3    What was the eventual outcome of the court case to remove the piece, and what legal basis was instrumental in the decision?
4    Do you think it was the right thing to remove the work or do you think the public was at fault? Why?

Using the PowerPoint and doing some further research. Write an essay regarding your point of view so far in the class. In particular, how has your view on psychology changed since the beginning of the class up to now? Are the topics covered in Chapter 1 what you were expecting at the beginning? Why and how do you think you can benefit from the information in this class?

Summarize the events of a recent accounting scandal. Identify how the illegal or unethical act was detected and describe the punishments that resulted (fines, prison terms, etc.). Consider what could have been done to detect this act earlier or to prevent it from happening in the first place. Select a different example than those listed in previous posts.

Please Read the Attached Reading ( Second Treatise, Ch. 1-11; 14; 18-19) then do the following:
Please make a post offering at least two thoughtful and substantive questions, reflections, or comments (QRCs) inspired by the material below.

– At least one QRC must explicitly identify a passage( quote a passage and then respond to it) from the reading attached that you found intriguing, confusing, enlightening, etc. to lift up for consideration. You should quote the passage in full in your post along with a clear citation so others can easily find it in the text, and briefly explain your reasons for highlighting this passage this can come in the form of substantive questions about, interpretations of, or challenges to the ideas expressed in the passage.

For the second QRC, you may choose to lift up another passage, but you are not required to do so. Instead you may choose to offer a more general question about the ideas under consideration, a reaction to the podcast lecture, an argument you are trying to work out, or a connection you have made, or events in the world.

In other words, each paper should have two clearly distinct QRCs, at least one of which lifts up a passage from the text.
