Before beginning: make sure you have read the selections from Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind.

Set your timer for 5 minutes. Sit down. You can follow the instructions for posture in Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind, or you can sit in another way. It’s fine to sit in a chair, but you should sit upright — don’t lie down.

Practice zazen for 5 minutes.

Then, create one post that includes both of the following (you only need to post once for this discussion):

1: What was your experience like?

Was this easy or hard? How did your mind feel? How did your body feel? What were your emotions like? Did it leave you feeling relaxed, frustrated, or something else?
2: Choose a quote from Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind that relates to an aspect of your experience.

Share the quote with your discussion group. You should cite the quote using parenthetical citations. Your citation should include the author’s last name, year of publication, and page number. For example, if your quote is on page 5: (Suzuki 2006, 5).
Tell us how this quote relates to your meditation experience. How was what you did an example of Zen practice? Did Suzuki’s pointers in the book help you to meditate or to ease your mind about doing it? How might this quote help others to better practice Zen?
You will receive full points for this post if:

You show that you have read the selections from Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind and that you can apply it to your own experience.

For this assessment, prepare a 10-slide PowerPoint presentation outlining the various steps of the revenue cycle. For the scenario, imagine you are a patient access supervisor who must educate a group of new hires about the revenue cycle process, including:

The revenue cycle process.
Their potential responsibilities.
Why the process is important to a care organization.
Challenges that they may face in their work.
When structuring your presentation, consider the following points and questions to ensure that you are meeting the following scoring guide criteria:

Explain the purpose of each step in the revenue cycle process.
Explain means to make (an idea, situation, or problem) clear to someone by describing it in more detail or revealing relevant facts or ideas.
The steps within the revenue cycle process include admissions, case management, documentation, coding, billing, and other steps.
Describe key responsibilities of individuals who work in the revenue cycle process.
Describe means to give an account in words of (someone or something), including all the relevant characteristics, qualities, or events.
Describe key components (such as verifying insurance, financial counseling, coding of documented services provided, and other components) and who is responsible (individuals such as coders, registration clerk, and others).
Explain the consequences to the organization of failing to fulfill key responsibilities in the revenue cycle process.
Explain additional steps and challenges in the revenue cycle process when working with an uninsured patient.
Provide information for the new staff regarding options available for the uninsured.
Identify any additional steps throughout the revenue cycle one must be aware of when working with an uninsured patient.
Identify the challenges that exist for the revenue cycle due to the delivery of uncompensated care.
Adhere to the rules of grammar, usage, and mechanics.
Grammar refers to the basic rules for how sentences are constructed and how words combine to make sentences (for example, word order, case, and tense).
Usage refers to correct word choice and phrasing, particularly with regard to the meanings of words and phrases.
Mechanics refers to correct use of capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
With the exception of the title slide and the reference slide, each slide should contain detailed speaking notes.
Apply APA formatting to in-text citations and references.
Provide in-text citations within the speaking notes, just like you would in a paper, to show where the information was obtained.
Be sure to include an APA-formatted Reference slide at the end of the presentation.

Let’s get started with this discussion.  The current topics we are focusing on related to small businesses, entrepreneurs and being financially prepared for operations.  In addition, small business organizations must continue to monitor the financial well being.  While I will not ask you to”value” your organization, in this discussion, we we focus on a couple of very important areas and you can include what you post in this discussion within the financial section of your business plan:

1)  First, for some general questions….. what steps will you take to develop a strategic financial plan and monitor your month to month, etc. financial status?  In addition, will it be more important to monitor cash flow or should you watch your profits, and why?  Finally, how much money do you believe you will need to “start up” your business or to continue/expand with your operations?  (Think…. how much will you ask for when you approach the Shark Tank investors?)

2) Take a look at this calculator link below, and entering in estimated information, what would be the number of products or services you would need to sell to break even?  What adjustments can you make to feel more comfortable with this projection (if you are not already)?

https://goodcalculators.com/break-even-calculator/

The final paper needs to have 3 components (see attached for the full instructions): Computation and CTM (1 page), Sub-project of our choosing (4 pages), and the Conclusion (1 page). In regards to the sub-project, I was leaning towards either Question 3, 4, or 5 because they seem to be the simplest ones, but do feel free to tackle another question if you’d like.

For all the 3 components, you will have to refer to the textbook that I have also attached. However, please bear in mind that my professor did mention not to merely copy the explanations straight out of the book or else, no credits will be granted to us.

Thank you.

CAROL CASE STUDY:
Im to blame for all the problems in my family
As the oldest of three children, Carol (who is 29) berates herself for her familys tension and dissension. Her father is depressed most of the time (which Carol feels responsible for); her mother feels overburdened and ineffectual (Carol feels she contributes to this); and both her sisters are doing poorly in school and having other personal problems (Carol also assumes responsibility for this). Somehow she is convinced that if she were different and did what she should do, most of these problems would greatly diminish. Assume, as you listen to her, that you hear her saying some of the following things:

My father looks to me to be the strong one in the family. I must be strong if Im to gain his approval, which I feel I must have.

Since my mother is overworked, I should take on more of the responsibility for taking care of my younger sisters. I ought to be able to talk with them and help them with their problems.

My sisters both expect me to do their chores for them, to help them at school, and to live up to the image they have of me. I ought to meet their ideals, and it would be absolutely horrible of me to fail in this regard. Then if they grow up with problems, Ill have only myself to blame for the rest of my life.

1. One of the things a rational emotive behavior therapist would do is teach Carol that her thinking and her evaluation of events are causing her problems (feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, and insecurity). What do you hear her saying to herself that is irrational?

2. Discuss in greater length which of the above techniques you would expect to rely on the most. What might you expect to occur through the use of these procedures? What outcomes would you hope for?

3. Assume that Carol holds steadfastly to her beliefs and tries to convince you that they are not irrational? For example, she tells you: I just know that if I were more adequate as a daughter, my father wouldnt be depressed.
Its because Ive let him down so that he feels useless as a father. How would you respond?

4. If Carol seems to hang on to the idea that she must have the approval of her father in order to feel adequate as a person, what direction might you take?

5. What value do you see in asking Carol to do a written REBT Self-Help Form?

6. Apply the technique of rational-emotive imagery in Carols case. How would you help her imagine herself thinking, feeling, and behaving in the way she would ideally like to?

Please answer each question separately.

1. Please fill the checklist for the ICER_CAR_T_Report in EXHAUSTIVE details like you are writing an essay with paragraph, that is why I will give you 4 pages to write this checklist. Please treat it like you are wring an essay.
2. Please check the two files Checklist Instruction and Economic Evaluation Instruction to get the basic knowledge about economic evaluation and What each item of the checklist means and how to write a checklist in economics evaluation.

Each student will be required to write an in-depth research paper about a cause/issue with respect to wrongful convictions. Part of the assignment includes coming up with a viable topic that is interesting to you, but some examples might include child witness recantations and actual innocence; the impact of innocence commissions or conviction integrity units in the U.S.; the validity/legal admissibility of voice recognition testimony, forensic hypnosis, blood spatter analysis or other dubious forensic “science”; jailhouse lawyers and wrongful convictions; issues regarding police practices and wrongful convictions; how other countries have addressed wrongful convictions, etc. Topics must be approved by the instructor, and the research paper itself is due at the beginning of class on the due date. This is a major assignment; therefore, page length of the paper should reflect the amount of research that you have conducted. (12 to 15 pages is the appropriate range, although papers that include obvious “padding” or repetition will be penalized accordingly). Please submit a brief description of the topic you have chosen for your major research and writing project, along with names and contact information for potential “experts” who you will interview regarding the project. Recall that your topic must pertain to the issue of wrongful convictions, and may not be a recycled paper that you’ve submitted for another class. Your description is due by March 17 at 2:10 p.m.

In this five paragraph paper, I want you to argue why America is a great country and how we can maintain that greatness. You may not preach in this paper about racism and gender sufferings, or climate change. Remember that much of the negative you hear on the news is from a media bias and much of it comes out of the mouths of those who don’t like America and its history.
