The research paper can be on any topic related to the course, such as ethical problems, client?s rights, multicultural issues, professional competence, availability of mental health care; or you may select a type of psychotherapeutic treatment, a diagnostic category from the DSM-V, a specific population, or an issue that is controversial in mental health and human services.  You must demonstrate that you can find and incorporate literature in the human services area to inform your opinions and ideas. With at least three sources cited within your paper, including two sources from the professional literature (a textbook, professional journal, or online resource that is provided by a professional organization).

This case should be at least 2 pages and include 3 outside sources in APA formatting.
Overview:

Sally Soprano is a distinguished older soprano who has not had a lead role in two years. The Lyric Opera has a production of Norma opening in three weeks, and the soprano who has been engaged to sing the title role has developed a condition requiring surgery before the performance. The Lyric is eager to hire Sally, and the trustees have authorized the business manager to offer up to $45,000 for the lead. Naturally, the Lyric, which is a not-for-profit organization, would like the salary to be lower, if possible. The origional soprano hired for the lead was to have been paid $30,000, and the rather inexperienced secondary soprano is being paid $14,000. (Industry practice is that lead roles receive about twice the amount received by secondary role singers.) Four years ago, at the height of her career, Sally received $22,000 fore the lead role, but inflation and an increase in opera’s popularity have nearly doubled the salary scale since then.
Sally desperately wants the role, which could give her a chance at forthcoming television special. She would be willing to sing for the part for nothing, except the impact on future engagements and reputation. Her salaries for secondary roles over the last two years have ranged from $10,000 to $18,000; more than a year ago she received $12,500 for singing the secondary role in Norma at the Lyric. Last year, an inexperienced soprano who sang the lead role is rumored to have been paid more than $24,000.
Instructions:
One of you will read the “confidential instructions for Sally’s agent” and one of you will read “Confidential Instructions for Lyric Opera Manager”,

1. What monetary interests does each side have? What monetary interests do they have that go beyond this particular negotiation? (Here you need to be creative- try to use one outside source).
2. What options other than salary did you explore for negotiation? (Here you need to be creative ex. X percent of ticket revenues after Sally’s name is publicly announced minus average ticket sales in three weeks prior to opening… an agreement of X advertising budget with Sally’s name etc.)
3: What are the issues to be considered?
4. What are the alternatives?
5. What interest does each party have in pursuing a good working relationship?
6. How should these interests (in a good working relationship or not) reflect in the negotiation?
7. What would be a possible good outcome?

After you negotiate with your partner answer the following: (This can be done as a group)
1. What is your BATNA?
2. What is the value of the BATNA in terms of the “currencies” that will be on the table in the negotiation e.g., dollars, publicity, risks, etc.?
3. Did you think your BATNA was stronger or weaker than the other side’s?
4. What can each side do to improve BATNA?
5. What do you think was the most persuasive out of each party’s negotiation?
6. Was the outcome binding and final?
7. Was this discussed explicitly or just assumed?

Select a community organization or group that you feel would be interested in learning about ethical and policy issues that affect the coordination of care. Then, develop and record a 10-12-slide, 20-minute presentation, with audio, intended for that audience. Create a detailed narrative script for your presentation, 4-5 pages in length.

As coordinators of care, nurses must be aware of the code of ethics for nurses and health policy issues that affect the coordination of care within the context of the community. To help patients navigate the continuum of care, nurses must be proficient at interpreting and applying the code of ethics for nurses and health policy, specifically, the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Being knowledgeable about ethical and policy issues helps ensure that care coordinators are upholding ethical standards and navigating policy issues that affect patient care.

This assessment provides an opportunity for you to develop a presentation for a local community organization of your choice, which provides an overview of ethical standards and relevant policy issues that affect the coordination of care. Completing this assessment will strengthen your understanding of ethical issues and policies related to the coordination and continuum of care, and will empower you to be a stronger advocate and nursing professional.

It would be an excellent choice to complete the Vila Health: Ethical Decision Making activity prior to developing the presentation. The activity provides a helpful update on the ethical principles that will help with success in this assessment.

Demonstration of Proficiency

By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the course competencies through the following assessment scoring guide criteria:

Competency 4: Defend decisions based on the code of ethics for nursing.
Assess the impact of the code of ethics for nurses on the coordination and continuum of care.
Competency 5: Explain how health care policies affect patient-centered care.
Explain how governmental policies related to the health and/or safety of a community affect the coordination of care.
Identify national, state, and local policy provisions that raise ethical questions or dilemmas for care coordination.
Competency 6: Apply professional, scholarly communication strategies to lead patient-centered care.
Communicate key ethical and policy issues in a presentation affecting the coordination and continuum of care for a selected community organization or support group. Either speaker notes or audio voice-over are included.
Preparation

Your nurse manager at the community care center is well connected and frequently speaks to a variety of community organizations and groups. She has noticed the good work you are doing in your new care coordination role and respects your speaking and presentation skills. Consequently, she thought that an opportunity to speak publicly about contemporary issues in care coordination would be beneficial for your career and has suggested reaching out to a community organization or support group to gauge their interest in hearing from you, as a care center representative, on a topic of interest to both you and your prospective audience.

You have agreed that this is a good idea and have decided to research a community organization or support group that might be interested in learning about ethical and policy issues related to the coordination of care. Your manager has suggested the following community organizations and support groups, but acknowledges that the choice is yours.

Homeless shelters.
Local religious groups.
Nursing homes.
Local community organizations (Rotary Club or Kiwanis Club).
To prepare for this assessment, you may wish to:

Research your selected community organization or support group.
Review the Code of Ethics for Nurses With Interpretive Statements and associated health policy issues, specifically, the ACA.
Review the assessment instructions and scoring guide to ensure you understand the work you will be asked to complete.
Allocate sufficient time to rehearse your presentation before recording the final version for submission.

Looking for a sample paper (MAX 2 pages double spaced) answering two very generic and easy study abroad application prompts. My application credentials are very strong and it’s not selective at all, so the content does not need to be exceptional – all I’m looking for is a generic response with strong grammar that I can quickly personalize. I’m working two jobs right now and don’t have to time to finish this before the deadline. Attached to this request are the prompts along with my initial thoughts for how to answer them. I’d prefer if you followed my ideas/outline, but feel free to disregard them.

**URGENT ORDER**

Please answer the following questions separately. Be objective as possible. Provide examples based on your research and cite all references that support your position.

1. Provided a team has shared goals and shared accountability, over time, what generally happens to social loafers (slackers) on the team ?

2. Discuss the benefits of a leader with a coach-like approach asking questions of his/her followers.

Research and write an essay, 5-7pp. (double-spaced, 12 pt. font) on a debatable topic of your choice. (The only topic that’s off limits is abortion.) Choose a topic that truly interests you, about which you have authentic curiosity, so that you can enjoy the process of researching, and narrowing your focus to a question your research will answer.

You will need a minimum of five (5) sources); none from the internet unless you get my approval.  Use the librarys databases to find sources.  Books and print articles are also acceptable.

You can use either MLA or APA style documentation.

This is the research on the actual event called the Colfax Incident.  You are to investigate both sides of the story, written on the one hand by white supremacists and on the other by the targeted populations of African Americans.  Do a compare contrast of the two stories and discuss the probable truth that resides between the two sides

Applying Multimodal Analysis to Video
If the video uses dialogue, how, when, where, and why do the people talk to each other in the video? How does this affect your perception of the videos content?  If the video uses voiceover narration, why do you think the creator chose to do this?  Where else does text appear in the video (in written form, for instance)?  How does that add to the spoken text?  How do the pitch, tone, accent, etc. of various characters voices  (including the narrator, if there is one) affect how you perceive them?  Do the other elements (modalities) of the video support whats being said or do they undermine it?

The assignment is the final draft for essay #2, the thesis is important and to choose a music video and write the essay from what we picked. The video I choose for this essay is Justin Timberlake’s Say Something ft. Chris Stapleton. Two sources we are to use the above book and Abdurraqib, Hanif. They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us. Kindle Edition.

This was an outline I got from a writer on this site who didn’t listen to my instructions, I strongly emphasize format is MLA not APA. My professor’s comments on the draft:

Dont forget this paper needs to be in MLA, not APA, which is how you have set it up with the titled paragraphs.  For your thesis, do not announce what you will study. You need to review the lesson on thesis statements in the previous unit. This assignment is to conduct a multimodal analysis, so what exactly does that mean? What is the message of this song? What is the theme? That is where you start to illustrate later how the multimodal elements produce the effect you claim in your thesis.
