The title of the reading in the body
A short synopsis of the article
What is the summary of the article? Main point?
What stood out to you?

Suggestion: Think of the paper in 2 parts, each could be its own paragraph

Summary and  What stood out to you?

Harry Frankfurt thinks that some but not all human beings enjoy freedom of the will. Write a paper in which you (A) explain what Frankfurt thinks is required for freedom of the will and then (B) apply Frankfurt’s requirements to your own original examples: one example of an individual who, according to Frankfurt, would not have freewill and another example of a person who Frankfurt would say does have freewill.

Part A of your paper should be about one page in length and part B should be about two pages in length. So, the entire paper should be about three pages long.  The goal of this paper is to clearly and accurately depict Frankfurt’s view and to use your own examples (rather than the ones Frankfort introduces) to do so.
I added a zoom video and she speaks a lot about what should b in the paper. she start speaking on this topic about 25 mins into the video

Answer the following questions using only the sources that I have provided

Technology and Democracy:
1. Is there something inherent about the progress of technology that made the Internet the logical next step to communication, computers (or think broader and older, is the Internet an implication of the move from mechanical to digital technology?)?
2. Is there something inherent about democracy (especially in America consider its size) that implied or required a means for mass communication and interconnectivity?

Discuss why Womens Studies emerged in the academic community. Refer to at least three learning resources assigned for this week in your response.

Some questions to consider (you do not need to answer all of these; they are here to help you get started on a response):

What need in the university does Women’s Studies seek to fulfill?
What need in society as a whole is Women’s Studies responding to? Specifically at the time Women’s Studies emerged in the late 1960s and 1970s? Today?
How has Women’s Studies changed the way we think about academic research? The world?
What is the value of Women’s Studies for students, scholars, and universities?
How does the scholarship produced in Women’s Studies affect (or potentially affect) our world outside the university?
Why are Women’s Studies programs inherently interdisciplinary? Mention one discipline that seems especially influential within Womens Studies, and tell us why.
What does it mean to “claim” an education? Why is this a particularly useful concept for understanding the role of Women’s Studies in the university?

Watch the following video about mirror neurons. Based off the research in this video and the brief article in the text, how do you think the environment impacts childrens development? Would you expect younger children in larger families to learn behaviors faster or slower than those without siblings? Why?

Assignment 1: Blog: Resource Limitations and Challenges
Locating literature that is relevant and reliable can be a challenging task. As a researcher, you must be able to know where to find information and how to examine sources for relevancy. For this blog, you consider limitations and/or challenges you encountered while locating resources or while identifying relevance and quality of resources.

By Day 3
Post by Day 3 an explanation of at least one limitation or challenge you encountered when locating resources or identifying the relevance and quality of resources.

There are 2 parts to this assignment: Part 1: Discussion post must be atleast 300 words (min 150 words per a question). Part 2: Discussion post responses must be atleast 300 words (min 150 words per a question). I will upload a pdf of the chapter and the questions for you to respond to as soon as my professor releases them on Monday, which you will use for the first part. You should use the chapter as the primary source but you can also use an outside source as long as it is a credible, scholarly source and is cited correctly. You may NOT use Wikipedia as a source. Then, I will upload the discussion posts for you to respond to as soon as they are available to me (after I submit my initial discussion post: part 1 of this assignment). So if you can get that one part to me a little before the due date, to ensure that you have enough time to do the discussion responses, that would be great. Thank you.

Carefully read the article and answer this questions. Part I answer the questions. In Part II of the worksheet, provide a brief critical analysis summary of the study, including major findings and conclusions based on the answers in Part I.

*** Use the provided article to answer the questions***
*** The psychosocial effects of being quarantined following exposure to COVID-19: A qualitative study of Lebanese health care workers ***

What is the primary research question? Is it clearly stated? Provide a rationale for your answer.
Is the approach appropriate given the research questions? Why or why not?
Are the literature review and sources provided comprehensive and current? Provide a rationale for your answer.
What are the study population and the sample population? Are they clearly identified and defined? Provide a rationale for your answer.
How was the sample population selected?
Did the researchers identify a theoretical model or conceptual framework to help them understand and interpret their findings?
    How were the data collected?
    How were the data analyzed?
    What were the major findings?
How were the findings interpreted by the researchers?
Did the researchers identify any limitations of the study? If they did, what were these limitations? If they did not, did you identify any limitations?
What recommendations or suggestions for next steps did the researchers make?

Part II

A.    Provide a brief (200 words) critical review of the article or study based on your responses to the preceding questions.
B.    In your opinion, what are the strengths and limitations of this study? Does this study make a significant contribution to the literature and advance the knowledge base? Why or why not?

Your human services counseling clients will come to you suffering at one level or another. Our lectures for the last two weeks and both the course texts, all discuss the concept of suffering and factors guiding how to counsel those who are suffering. In fact, a careful reading of the Reading & Study materials indicates numerous concepts and principles that could apply in counseling those who are hurting.
The five concepts you list MUST be based on the course material and no more than 400 words. , consider the following scenario. What suggestions from the course materials would you want to apply to this hurting client? Why did you choose those suggestions as most important?
You work primarily for an adoption agency but on some evenings, you volunteer your time at your churchs free counseling clinic. Your client in that setting, Jamie, was recently divorced and expresses that she has no direction in life. She feels very rejected and alone. She often cries in session and in her latest session, lashed out at you, her therapist, since she was not feeling better. She questioned whether you were really helping her since she is still feeling all this pain. She left asking, Why cant you help remove this needless suffering?
