Read James 3:212 and Ephesians 4:29. Then, in your initial post, comment on what can be learned from these passages about communication. How might corrupt communication be identified and combated? Provide at least two specific examples.  How powerful is the tongue? What do the verses in James tell us about the tongues power for good or evil?

(1)Explain why you think attitude and emotion might be particularly important for each job(see attachment)must explain why to each position!!!!. Explain nutrition and describe what learning techniques you used to master the material.

Nutrition is the study of how our bodies digest and use biologically-important macromolecules. These are used to support growth, homeostasis, and tissue repair. Common nutrients include carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins and minerals. The metabolic rate of the body is how it consumes energy, and this can be affected by many factors, including age and level of activity and environment. One important effect of metabolism is that heat is given off as a waste product of the reaction, but this heat can be used to maintain a stable internal temperature within the body.

Topics covered included:

Nutrition and the factors that influence eating and satiety
Nutrients including carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins, and minerals
Factors that affect metabolic rate
Temperature regulation in the body

To complete a comprehensive and current search of relevant articles, books, and other sources related to the subject of human resources/human capital metrics and predictive analytics.

As one of the three cornerstone concepts of this course, the directional shift in human resource management to the increased reliance on quantitative measures of performance versus intuitive decisions based on aspiration, human capital metrics (also known as predictive analytics) is a subject for increased interest going forward. This Literature Review asks students to review the literature in this area, both traditional and current. Materials may include classics that date into the early years of the 21st century, but should also include sources dated in the last 510 years. The page length of the Literature Review should be between 4 pages (double-spaced, normal font size, and margins) and meet APA style

Papers will be graded on both comprehensiveness and currency. Students should demonstrate an exhaustive search of materials that are included in the popular media as well as academic community. Reliance on general search media are acceptable to begin the process, but ultimately, used materials (included in the formal bibliography) must come from academic journals, texts, and other materials found in the Online Library as well as other academic libraries. Web pages, blogs, and social media sites are not acceptable as formally (cited) references. Below is a preliminary list of authors who have contributed to this field over the last several years. The list is not exhaustive, but serves as a starting point for your review.

Jac Fitz-Enz
John Boudreau
Peter Ramsted
Mark Huselid
Brian Becker
David Ulrich
Wayne Brockbank
Jessie Harriot
Jeff Quinn
Ken Scarlett
Jeffrey Burke
Wayne Cascio

Additionally, most of the best known academic and popular journals will provide acceptable content. Primary among (again, not exhaustive) them are some of the following journals and publications.

People & Strategy (formally human resource planning)
Harvard Business Review
Human Resource Management
Academy of Management Journals (various titles included)
Journal of Labor Economics
Human Resource Management Review
Personnel Psychology
International Journal of Human Resource Management
Journal of Management
Sloan Management Review
California Management Review
Administrative Sciences Quarterly

Students will also find the work of Kaplan and Norton on the Balanced Scorecard to be a great starting point, as well as Becker and Huselid’s treatment of the above as specifically related to HR and workforce measures.

Competency
In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competency:

Evaluate relevant data and information to determine how to segment and target an audience
Apply legal and ethical considerations in relation to the use of target audience information
Determine the considerations and adjustments needed to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
Scenario
Wheelies is a small family-owned scooter and bicycle rental business near the large tourist city of San Francisco, CA. Wheelies currently has 42 employees, most of whom are San Francisco residents. Currently, Wheelies promotes itself by having their employees hand out 20% discount coupons within a one mile radius of the store. Employees do this each morning for the three hours that the store is open. Additionally, Wheelies has a Facebook page (though it was last updated two months ago) that offers a two-for-one rental coupon to followers who share the post.

The biggest struggle for Wheelies is its competition with other local businesses to attract tourists. The owner of Wheelies has decided to invest in more modern marketing techniques in hopes of establishing a well-known presence in the community and gaining new customers who return to support the business year after year. This will require the owner to better understand the companys audiences and how best to market to them. To begin this process, they have reached out to the San Francisco Travel Association and the California Department of Finance for the most recent publicly available numerical data on the city’s tourists, which was gathered through city censuses and formal questionnaires. The complied information is listed in the provided fact sheet under the Supporting Materials section.

You have been hired by the owner as a consultant, and your job is to create a basic communication plan that provides guidance on how to appropriately collect demographic information, analyze the gathered demographic data provided, and identify ways to reach the target audience so that the owner can move forward with her new marketing campaign.

Directions
Using the provided scenario and customer data set, create a communication plan for Wheelies that addresses the companys goals to be well-known in the community and to retain new customers year after year. This plan will affect both internal staff and external customers, so its important to consider the company in terms of its employees, values, and goals. Be sure to provide sufficient guidance and rationales in your communication plan that will allow for the plan to speak for itself. This is especially important since it is currently the off-season, and you will not be available during most of the busy season when the part-time staff come back to work.

Specifically, you have been asked to address the following. Make sure to support your responses using the course resources.

Data and Information Collection: Review the San Francisco Fact Sheet, then provide feedback on how the data and information were collected and make suggestions for future improvements. Address the following:
Evaluate whether the data and information is accurate, credible, and valid based on how it was collected.
Determine whether the data and information were collected in accordance with federal laws and regulations.
Suggest additional research techniques that would have been beneficial in collecting information to best target an audience.
Analyzing Audience Data: Analyze the demographic data that Wheelies has already collected on their target audiences. Address the following:
Identify important target audience demographic information that has been collected.
Determine if the current communication strategies being used are appropriate for target audiences.
Recommending Effective Delivery Strategies: Recommend effective delivery methods and strategies to help the business reach its goals. Address the following:
Identify key considerations and targeted adaptations needed to craft an effective message for diverse audiences.
Explain how current delivery methods and strategies could be improved to better reach intended audiences.
Recommend new delivery methods for each intended audience. For example, decide whether to deliver the campaign messages through the use of emails, phone calls, fliers, social media, and so on.
Describe the potential issues that could arise as a result of delivering the targeted message. For instance, consider the legal, ethical, or cultural issues.
Explain how the targeted messages might reach unintended audiences.

In the article Managing to Improve Quality (attached): The Relationship Between Accreditation Standards, Safety Practices, and Patient Outcomes, the authors discuss the growing trend by medical insurance companies to eliminate reimbursement for Never Events. As these types of mistakes should be easily preventable, hospitals have developed protocols to lessen or extinguish the occurrence of these events. In addition, The Joint Commission (TJC) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have developed core measures to guide health care providers efforts in improving patient safety and the quality of care delivered.
Health care organizations have developed strategic agendas to help meet these standards and reduce the incidence of Never Events. Nurses significantly influence the overall quality of health care provided and play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes.
For this Discussion, you will consider the standards that are in place for nurses and how they can be used to improve quality of care.

To prepare for this Discussion:
Review the information at the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services websites on the core measures and standards presented in this weeks Resources.
Consider the nurses role in supporting the organizations strategic agenda as it relates to improving clinical outcomes.
Conduct an Internet search for either a Never Event or a core measure, and select one to address in your post.
By Day 3
Respond to the following:
How has the emphasis on quality of care, patient safety, and clinical care outcomes been impacted by specific standards emanating from TJC and/or CMS? Cite your selected core measure or Never Event in your response.
What is the impact of the nurses role in clinical outcomes for the organization?
Discuss nurse-specific challenges in influencing change in quality improvement.
How does this influence the ability of the organization to achieve its strategic agenda?

Support your response with references from the professional nursing literature.
Note Initial Post: A 3-paragraph (at least 350 words) response. Be sure to use evidence from the readings and include in-text citations. Utilize essay-level writing practice and skills, including the use of transitional material and organizational frames. Avoid quotes; paraphrase to incorporate evidence into your own writing. A reference list is required. Use the most current evidence (usually 5 years old).
