Critical Media Literacy Project:  The purpose of Critical Media Literacy is to understand all forms of media and the institutions of power that shape and inform media and its various representations. By analyzing, exploring, examining, and questioning (1) the construction of media, (2) the purpose of the media, and (3) the consumption of media, one has the ability to comprehend the complexities and power dynamics associated with newspapers, billboards, books, magazines, radio, podcasts, social media, products and packaging, etc.

Also, Critical Media Literacy provides strategies for becoming an informed consumer of media and its representations. Through questioning and challenging power, one has agency in the tradition of social justice with the goal to improve our society. And as a teacher, you will continue in this tradition by sharing knowledge with your students about Critical Media Literacy, as well as enhancing their comprehension skills.

Next Steps: Please read the attached Critical Media Literacy handout on Blackboard. Your responsibility for this assignment is to (1) read, (2) analyze, and (3) apply the six questions below from Critical Media Literacy to a childrens picture book of your choice (e.g. a book from your personal collection or a virtual reading from YouTube). To help you with your selection and to provide insights into the diversity of childrens picture books, please review the booklists from Social Justice Books: https://socialjusticebooks.org/booklists.

CHILDRENS BOOK IS : HAIR LOVE by Matthew Cherry

“In todays era children’s behavior has completely changed with the passage of time. Therefore, it has been a common and a controversial topic in most sociology and psychology debates. People have divided into two parts; some think that it has changed to the better, while others have a different understanding.”

You have been asked to participate in a discussion-based tabletop exercise (TTX) that will help prepare your emergency
management team and others in your community for a natural disaster. Since your community is on the coast, the TTX will
cover how the community will respond to a hurricane.
You will begin this assignment by viewing the Adobe Captivate presentation linked here. (Click here for transcripts of video 1,
video 2, and video 3 from the presentation.) Throughout the scenario presented, you will be asked questions. Please make
note of what your answers to these questions will be as at the end of the presentation, these notes will be used to compose
a paper based on the scenario.
Your paper will consist of the following sections:
Introduction to the scenario, including a description of the disaster your community will be facing and its impacts on the
community,
How your community will prepare for the disaster and how your team will work to protect the community from effects of
the disaster,
How your team will respond after the disaster has passed,
How your team will help the community recover from the disaster,
How risks can mitigated in preparation for future disasters,
Conclusion (Hot wash), consisting of lessons learned after the disaster, any organizational strengths and weaknesses
that occurred, next steps to consider when planning and preparing for the next disaster, and at least five short-term and
long-term goals that your team should follow up on.
Your paper should consist of at least three pages with at least two outside sources, one of which can be your textbook. In
addition, utilize the CSU Online Library when locating your sources. Please use proper APA style for citations/references
and paper formatting (which includes: title page, double spacing, one inch margins on all sides, and 12-point font size in

The purpose of Reflection-in-Action is to reflect upon what one has learned or how one has performed as compared with one’s expectations or goals. This assignment will provide an opportunity for students to share their experiences, thoughts, feelings and learning moments from this course.

Self understanding through reflection on life experiences, feelings, etc., is a core concept in Dr. Jean Watsons Theory of Human Caring.

The Reflection for this course must address these three topics
1-Evidence supporting Jean Watson’s Theory on Human Caring
2-Ethics in research
3-protecting human subjects in quality improvement or evidence-based practice projects

Length: A minimum of two and maximum of four pages (excluding the title and reference pages).  Submissions not meeting the minimum and maximum page requirements will receive a grade of zero.
Format: Formal paper, APA 7th ed format for body of paper and all citations.

you did this paper for me a few weeks ago nothing wrong with paper. Except a fault on my part I gave you one wrong book. the actual books I need compared were Prokopios and Anthony Kaldellis, Secret History with Related Texts. and James Conroyd Martin. Fortune’s Child: A Novel of Empress Theodora. If you could do this paper for me once again, it would be greatly appreciated.
Here are the instructions once again
Students will write a 4 paged essay comparing and contrasting the two, arguably, fictional treatments of Empress Theodora in Fortune’s Child  and Secret History.

Writing Guidelines:

You MUST have a thesis statement. This is what you are arguing what your paper is going to PROVE. Make this the LAST SENTENCE in your OPENING paragraph.
NO quotes. None.
NO outside sources. None.
Do not use the following words use strong verbs instead
Am
Is
Are
Was
Were
Be
Being
been
6. Do not use very find a better word ie, instead of very big use gigantic

7. Do not use contractions (no cant, etc. use can not instead)

8. NO headings

9. Write 4 FULL pages so, better to write 4 pages so you can be eligible for the maximum number of points

10. Do not restate your thesis in your conclusion — this is where you bring everything together — you closing argument. Don’t punt the conclusion as it is the last thing I read before assigning a grade.

Info on how to do a compare/contrast paper:

DO NOT SUMMARIZE! That is not what a compare/contrast paper is. Do not write what the Theodora book is about and then write what the Secret History book is about. Again, that is not a comparison/contrast paper.  SEE THE ATTACHED FILE … READ IT, understand it, and if you have any questions, let me know. YOU WILL HAVE TO COMPARE CONTRAST ON THE EXAMS TOO…

Answer these questions about the movie
Fermat’s Last Theorem – The Theorem and Its Proof: An Exploration of Issues and Ideas [1993]

Who is its main character? You may feel that the man is the main character, or you may feel
the equation is its main character. Be sure to mention both.

Why have I shown this to you now? What does the content have to do with logic?

Comment on what was interesting, surprising, or in general what you learned about
mathematicians or the culture of mathematics

Note a few of the mathematicians, aside from Wiles:

Note any of comments or stories that caught your attention:

What is Fermat’s Last Theorem, and why is it, and the proof, interesting?

What does Fermat’s Last Theorem, or its proof, contribute to the practical world?

What did you observe about problem solving techniques?
